Expecting a boy!

Hya friends!
Did you have a good Christmas?
I did, considering all my boys are grown and gone.
(I got to see almost all of them on the Day, which is all I need).

Well, it's nice and peaceful now it's all over for another year and I've finally had time to sit and make a card.
This is for a young woman in my street who found out a few days ago that she's expecting a boy.

The image is one I've had forever!
It's by Pink Petticoat. 'Lola Rose with sentiment'. (It may be discontinued).
It seemed the perfect choice.
It's pretty self-explanatory, so no need to give you all the boring deeets.

Well my friends. Are you ready for the New Year?
Whether you are or you aren't , I wish for you a VERY peaceful and Happy one!

It's time to say goodbye

Well, here we are!

Be warned!!! It's a LOONG post.
if you've come from the very talented SAUNDRA's blog, you're on the right track,
if you just wandered by, you will want to start at the beginning The Amazingly clever Tanya)
wouldn't like you to miss anyone.

Well, it's been wonderful and although this is my (almost) last post as a Peachy Keen DT member.
It certainly won't be my last post with PK stamps!
(I say almost, because PK are having a hop on the 5th January for the new release and I am going to be taking part in it.
Things are gonna be different! (In a GOOD way)Whoo Hoo!!!
But first, we've got together some projects that we particularly enjoyed and loved during our time on the DT.
Here are some of mine....

This HAS to be my first choice, as Kathy made this stamp set especially for me!
The little puppy is my special fur baby Harvey.
The stamp set is PK-277 and is called 'Vivienne and friends'. It's very special to me.
The image is coloured with Copics.

I chose this card because it was my very first Challenge card four years ago!!
I used PK-229 'Funny Flowers'.
Love those flowers. Needless to say, they were coloured with Copics.
All my stamps are!! LOL

Which one to choose next.
It's so hard because they are all special to me.

THIS bag-a-lope is my all time favourite.
An ordinary envelope transformed into something magical.
I LOVE the way the colours turned out and they are my favourite snowmen EVER!

These little fellas are from this stamp set..
PK-329

Well, that's my three favourite projects from hundreds.

I have one final project for you using a couple of random stamps just for fun.
This is a new project today.
I've used foil on each image 'coz I'm foiling everything that moves at the moment! LOL

Stamps..left to right
PKSC-19
PK-412
PKS-12
PKSC-11

I hope you like my final project of 2013.
Now, you have loads of treats yet to be savoured.
Your next stop is the irrepressible  Nikki.

Don't forget, leave a comment on every blog for a chance to win
a face assortment set of your choice!
The Hop will stay live until midnight 27th December.

Here's a list of all the DT just in case you wander off course.

Thanks for all your lovely Peachy comments over the years my friends!

Sending some Christmas love

This will be my last challenge card for Peachy Keen.
All say 'AWWW'.

Well, it IS and it isn't. 'coz ...
WE'RE HAVING A FOND FAREWELL BLOG HOP STARTING LATER TODAY!!!
More details on that later, but first, I want to show you my final challenge of 2013,
Well, actually, my final challenge card period! LOL
I've had THE most amazing 4 years at Peachy Keen, (with a one year break in between).
FOUR YEARS WOW!! I've loved every minute of it and although I'm sad to be leaving the DT, I'm so happy for Kathy and everyone at the PK HQ, because the new design team is AWESOME and you'll be tickled pink with all their projects!!!

Well, I digress. Here' it is, Challenge 13-50.
as you can see, it's a photo challenge
Gorgeous photo isn't it.

Here's my card..
I thought I'd share my heart today with PK-159 'Thinking of you Bear'.
I thought it was quite appropriate.
I glittered the heart just 'coz I could and I like glitter.
It's a fairly simple card, but it says a lot.

Well ,what do you reckon? OK for my final challenge card? I think so, *smile*.

Right my friends, the rules...

Penultimate card for the year..

Well that's the plan anyway.
Please visit me on Friday as there is going to be a bit of Peachy Keen news and a MEGA blog hop with the Alumni DT which will  include a special project from me.

Onto my penultimate card.
This is one of my favourite Wendy Burns digis...

LOVE this stamp. It says Christmas as only a UK postbox can.
(Well, to us in the UK it does, LOL)
(The ticket is a freebie available on the ADU blog).
I coloured the digi with Copics as per usual.
Added some poinsettias I got off Ebay and some glittery ribbon.
The DP is from 'Handmade Holiday', by Simple Stories.
Sadly, it's discontinued boo hoo.

Now, the challenge is still going on at All Dressed Up. This challenge will be going for a month and will end on 14th January, so if you're bored after Christmas
and you get your breath back from all the preparations for it,
you will have plenty of time to join in, won't you! *big grin*.

In the meantime, why not pop on over to the ADU blog, grab a freebie
(which you can use for the challenge too), and ogle the inspirational posts from the Dressy Girls.

See you on Friday with my news and Peachy projects!!!

This may be the last of the year!

I think I'm about done for Christmas cards now, so this little fella could well be the last one I need to make  for this year. I LOVE making Christmas cards and Peachy Keen make it so easy and enjoyable.

Here's my (I think) last card .....or maybe penultimate, who knows. *wink*.

A bit of a different shape, but I think it works.
Haven't made a tall card in yonks!

I've married three stamp sets to get my picture.

That's one of the many things I love about PK stamps, you can mix and match to your heart's content.
I made my fox into an Arctic fox seeing as he's sitting at the North Pole! LOL
I coloured the stamped images with Copics as per usual.
(I hope to try some distress ink colouring in the New Year, but we'll see).
I distressed the edges and rolled the opposing corners for a bit of interest.
Well that's it from me.
Please visit PK's sparkling new website and leave me a comment.
I would love it if you do.
(Don't want much, do I)! LOL

Thanks for stopping by today.
Your visits are always welcome and appreciated.

Have a fabulous weekend! (Only one more to go)!

A new teenager

I made this card for the young man across the road. His birthday was the same day as mine.
Dec. 11th. It's a popular date as it was mine, Alfie my 4 year old grandson's, my late M-i-L , a cousin and this new teenager, James.
WOW! Can't have anything to meself! LOL
Only kidding honest.

Here's the card I made for him.....
Apart from the numbers, the images are from Clearly Besotted.
I swiped two shades of Colour Box Chalk ink across some white cardstock to get an hombre effect,
then cut the numbers out with  MFT number dies.

Well, that's it from me today.
I'll be back tomorrow with another PK Christmas card.
I do hope you'll join me!

Thanks for visiting!

It's snowing!

Well it IS according to this cute little fella!

Hya everyone!
Love this time of year to make my favourite kind of cards.
(I keep saying I'll make them all year round, but never do). LOL

Anyway, I have a card I hope will inspire you if you still have cards to make.
I LOVE this snowman. He's SO happy it's snowing!
(I'm a snow-aholic too)!

He only costs a measly £1.75!!!!
That's about ONE DOLLAR American!!! BARGAIN!
He's available HERE in the Etsy shop of our fabulous illustrator... Wendy Burns.
I coloured him with Copics and embellished the frame with some Marianne Dice cut holly leaves.
The DP is from a pad called 'Handmade Holiday', by Simple Stories.
(I believe it's discontinued which is a great shame, 'coz I love it).

I hope you enjoyed my card today and don't forget,
we still have our All Dressed Up Challenge going on!
Why not play along? You could win some of Wendy's gorgeous images.
I'll be back on Friday with a Peachy Keen card for my solo spot on the New blog.
(It just MIGHT be another Christmas card)! Ha Ha!

Have a great week!

A New release and a challenge or two!!

Hello everyone!
As it's the release day of the latest and most adorable Peachy Keen stamps.
Did you join in the party on Facebook for the reveal?
If you missed it, you can go over to the Peachy Keen site and ogle them!
We hold two challenges at the release parties and I chose
'December Birthday'
(as it's Kathy, the Peachy Queen's birthday on the 16th and mine on the 11th).
 Here's my card....

 Front

Flipside

Close up

I used digi paper I thought wasn't overly Christmassy.
I inked up  two of the four clever reverse sentiment stamps, PK-1347,
the 'Happy Birthday' and 'Congrats',with Adirondak 'Cranberry'.
Punched them out with a die who's name escapes me as usual.
Quite simple and quite effective I thought.
It's seasonal without losing it's birthday-ness. (Is that even a word)! LOL

Please join in with us. to celebrate this release.
You DO need to use Peachy Keen Stamps for your project in order for your entry to be considered for the prize.

To enter your project, simply go to The Peachy Keen Blog,

It's a new release at Peachy Keen! Gotta love it!

Hya friends!
Yep, it's time for another super duper cute release from Peachy Keen!
I dunno how Kathy thinks these fabulous images up month after month, but I'm so thankful she does!

This release is PERFECT for the Holidays and there's something for everyone.
I knew what I wanted to do as soon as I saw the stamps.
That amazing birch tree background and the little fawn were just made for each other.
(As a lot of my DT friends will agree with)!

Here's what I had in my head and for once, managed to get on card as I'd imagined it.
Doesn't he look cute emerging from the frozen trees!
The trees are an A2 background stamp! PK-1349 'Birch Tree Background'.
I coloured him with Copics, of course!
The gorgeous fawn is from one of the add-on sets 'PKSC-24'
Wait 'till you see al lthe fabulous stamps on THAT puppy!
THERE ARE OVER 60 STAMPS ON THE SHEET! WOW
The greeting is from PK1347, 'Reverse Sentiments'.
There are two more add-on sets, PK-1350, Cool Cats
and PK-1348, 'Candy Stripe background'. Also A2 in size!
Wait 'till you see what my DT buddies have done with THOSE!
I cut out two shapes and after spreading glue pen over them,
sprinkled Glamour Dust on them to mimic snow mounds.
The trees are actually inked with white ink,
but as I stamped them on dark blue card, they appear pale blue.

I hope you've enjoyed looking at all the sneak peeks this past few days and we look forward to seeing you at the release party which will be held on the Peachy Keen Facebook page, where you can see all the stamps together.
There will be fun and challenges and laughter and prizes plus the best bit...the new stamps for you to ogle!

Have a great rest of the week my friends!

It's a brand new Challenge over at ADU!

Hello friends!
I have been AWOL at a friend's wedding this weekend.
Had a great time but was overshadowed with news that my 4 year grandson Alfie, had had another febrile seizure. I know they aren't serious and he will grow out of them at about 6 or 7 years old, but it's still a worry. He's absolutely fine  again now, but it cast a shadow over the weekend all the same.

OK! Let's get happy!
It's challenge time at All Dressed Up and the theme is 'CHRISTMAS'!
YEAH. Not long now. How did it arrive so quickly!

Please join in with us. we LOVE seeing your challenge entries.

Here's my sample card which I hope will inspire you a little to play along.

Isn't that little shepherd the cutest you ever saw!!
He's available to purchase at theAll Dressed Up Store.
Wendy Burns is a fabulous illustrator and you will fall in love with all her gorgeous images.

My cute little shepherd is coloured with Copics and framed by a Marianne die.
The ticket is one of the dies on a plate that I've had forever.
(I'm rubbish at keeping track of my stuff).
I don't reckon it's the end of the world though,
'coz you would no doubt use different stuff anyway.
I sponged the edges of almost everything with Tim Holtz 'scattered Straw' ink!

Well, I hope you love my shepherd as much as I do.
AND there's plenty more cuteness for you to see over at All Dressed Up.

The rules are pretty simple too for our challenges...
you can find all the details on the All Dressed Up blog HERE.

Challenge winners are selected by the design team and will be announced shortly after the new challenge is announced.
First place will receive 3 images of their choice from All Dressed up Store and the right to post the winner badge on their blog.
The winner has two weeks to claim their prize.
A Top 3 badge is available for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place finishes.

Have a great week and I look forward to seeing your projects!
