It's Peachy Keen challenge #19

Hi everyone! I said I'd be back and here I am, with Peachy Keen's challenge #19.
It was hard getting back into it, but I finally managed a passable sample.
I needed the prod, as I'd lost the will to do any crafting.
It was good to be able to sit at my table and 'play' again.

The challenge this time, is a sketch...............

Here is my take on it...............

This view shows you the border a little better.

The base CS is from the Forever Friends A4 pad, 'gift wrapped'.
I cut strips of it and adhered them to the front of the card.
I added some sage green ribbon to break up the red and pick up the green in the strawberries' leaves, (coloured with Copics). My gorgeous silver pearls were added to lift the ribbon.
The strawberries are part of one of my favourite PK sets...PK-239 'Faceless Fruit'.

Pop on over to the Peachy Keen blog to see what you can win for playing along with us.
While you're there, have a look at the gorgeous cards created by the uber talented DT, which I'm so proud to be a part of.

It's good to be back! Thanks for calling by and for your love and support.

Peachy Keen Challenge #18.

Hello everyone.
I'm sorry if you've missed me this past few days. I've been so busy organising stuff for Mum's funeral and to be honest, not really felt like blogging. I'm sure you understand.
Thank you SO much to everyone for your kind thoughts, condolences and comments..
You are wonderful and I appreciate you all so much at this difficult time. We will be saying goodbye to Mum on Monday 21st.

Yesterday, (Tuesday) was Peachy Keen's Challenge #18. The challenge is a sketch and you will find all the details on the Peachy Keen Challenge blog. As usual, there is an amazing prize for participating. So, hot foot it over there quick sticks and get your entries in before 27th December.

Here's my card following the sketch more or less as is. (I didn't really have time with all that's happening to play about with it as much as I wanted to).

I just HAD to use my favourite snowman for the challenge. I love him to bits.
He's from the set PK-329, 'Chill Baby Chill'. As are the greeting and the snowflake I used on the second matt.
I sponged the card, (Forever Friends 'Gift Wrapped' CS) with SU's Bashful Blue ink.
'Chilli' as I call him, was coloured with Copics and lightly sponged with the Bashful Blue ink around the Nestability square die I used. (I found the silver pearls on eBay and bought loads).

Hope you like him as much as I do and that you join in with us at Peachy Keen. We love to see what you come up with.

Thanks for calling by and for your support.

My Mum

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM, I miss you.

In honour of my Mum who passed away suddenly last night (8th December).
It would have been her 91st birthday today.
This picture was taken just 6 months ago. She was always laughing.

Birthday Candy from me!!

This candy is now closed. Thank you for your interest.
All being well, I will announce the winner on Sunday 13th.
Please forgive me if I'm a little late due to circumstances.

It's kinda rushed up on me AGAIN this year. It's my birthday on the 11th and to celebrate getting even OLDER I thought I'd give all of YOU, my fabulous visitors, the chance of a little birthday present too.

I've even included three of my wonderful Peachy Keen stamps! It was hard parting with them!
If you'd like to have your name thrown into the ring for this candy, please publish it on your blog and link back to me using Mr. Linky and if you haven't already, please become a follower. It would be nice if you left a comment too, although not compulsory.
This candy will stay open until midnight GMT on 11th December. I will post worldwide.

Good luck everyone!

Isn't he CUTE!

I just LOVE my new Peachy Keen snowman. He's the cutest ice-man on the block as far as I'm concerned. He's gorgeous. He's from the set 'Chill Baby Chill', PK-329, (as is the snowflake, stamped onto the base card). He's going to get a lot of inking is this little man.

I coloured him with my Copics as usual. I'm sure you can work the rest out. (The stamp is by Hero Arts).
If you play along with the current challenge on the Peachy Keen blog, you are in with a chance of winning not one, but TWO new PK sets!

Well that's all I've managed for the past few days. I haven't had much of a mojo. (Until Kathy at Peachy Keen sent me my new stamps that is)! I might just have got a bit of it back now! LOL

Thanks for calling by!

Cards For Men Challenge Blog is launched!

Today's the day!! Did you guess the theme for the first ever Cards for Men challenge?
Yep! It's a Christmas theme. Well....it HAD to be, didn't it! LOL

Here's my first CFM challenge card......

Recipe.....
Kraft card
Stamp - SU's 'Lovely as a Tree'
Brown velvet ribbon
DP - Papermania's ' A Christmas Carol', matted onto dark brown card.
Sentiment - Hampton Arts

The 'snow' is the stuff you buy in a big bag to put on your windows to mimic snow. It has glitter in it and is only 99p from a shop in the UK called B&M.!!! There's TONS of it in a bag!
OK, not tons, but LOADS!
I made a mask by punching out a circle and sponged over it in Bashful Blue ink, to form a watery sun behind the trees.
Please join in with this very first Cards For Men Challenge, we can't wait to see what you come up with.
This is the fantastic prize donated by Donna's Den Of Crafts,  The  Crafter's Companion Ultimate Pro, so come on and play!

Pop over right away and see what the rest of the DT have created and to get all the details.
This challenge will run for two weeks in the lead-up to Christmas and then it will run monthly for a while to see how it goes.
(Hopefully, it will be every two weeks eventually).
Have fun!
