A bit of a wobble!

*Knock knock*, is there anyone there?
Wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't it's been nearly two weeks since I put a card on here!
Have you ever had one of those periods when your mojo has done a runner and you can't find it anywhere?
That's what's happened to me! It was well and truly lost.
Not helped by being mega busy.
(Retirement should come with a warning that you don't have the time you think you do)! lol

I've got my newest Stamp Kit from Peachy Keen, PKSC-08 August 2012.
(You can find it HERE).
I could see SO much that you can do with it, so much so,
it's taken me a week to finally decide what to do first!
The set is jam-packed with goodies so it was really hard to decide where to start!

Well start I did! And here's my first card with this amazing set.

I paper pieced the teacher (who, incidentally, looks a tad like a gingerbread woman).
Coloured everything with Copics and adhered the elements to a stair step card.

Here's another angle so you can see the 'stairs' a little better...

I put my teach on an Action Wobble that Kathy, the Peachy Queen, kindly gave me last year when I visited her.

Here she is 'wobbling'.

Feel more mojoed up now that this one is in the bag. LOL

'I'm going to enter it into the PK Challenge #32.
(Even though I'm stretching the essence of the sketch quite a bit).
Naughty Viv!

Anniversary and challenge card

I made this for my son's wedding anniversary.
I never know what to do about this card as he and my lovely DIL Sara are always on holiday in Spain when their anniversary rolls round!
Do I give it them before the day? Do I give it to them AFTER the day?
Well, I thought I may as well ask them which would be best and got told that the cards would be something to look forward to when they got home, so problem solved.

The heart is a from a Nellie Snellen die set.
The EF is by Couture Creations and is called 'Swept Away'.
A brad and a ribbon finished it off.
I'm also entering this card in the Crazy For Challenges CFC149
The challenge is 'White on white with only your image having a slash of colour'.
Let's hope my heart counts as the image.

Take care and enjoy your day!

Challenge #2 offering and happy news.

OMG!! I'm so chuffed!
I won the first challenge!! I'm MEGA excited. Look what I won....
 Isn't he KERR-UTE!!!

You can see it properly here!

I never expected to win. I just love to play along with anything Peachy Keen.
This little fella is pure bonus!!

Now, onto the second card I made for Challenge #2.
Kathy, Queen Peach herself, gave everyone at the Peachy Keen Connection Release Party a sketch to use.
THIS sketch....

Here's what I made of it...

 LOVE that cupcake.
I paper pieced the cup and coloured the cake part with Copics and then covered it in Glamour Dust.
(Similar to Dazzling Diamonds).
The cupcake and the sentiment are from  PKSC-04.

The paper is from a pad by MME called 'A mother's Love'.
MY mother would have laughed her head off, 'coz as I've just noticed, it's on upside down! HaHaHa!
The frame is a Spellbinders label die set. Don't know which one because I'm daft and take them out of their packaging and put them in folders without noting what they are. Duh!
If you haven't seen the latest Peachy Keen Release, please pay a visit to the store and see this fabulous new set! It's all about teacher appreciation, school and all things academic. (I do see lots of other possibilities too)!
You can feast your eyes HERE!

Thanks for stopping by. I always enjoy having visitors. xxx

More Peachiness!

The new August Release is out from Peachy Keen
If you have children in school, these new stamps are going to be right up your street!
Have a look HERE at all the awesomeness!
To get the new release off to a flying start, Peachy Keen hosted a release party on Sunday evening at 6pm.
That meant midnight for us over here, but that's fine. Well worth staying up for!
The challenges end at midnight(ish) CST, 6am(ish) GMT, so if you hurry,
you have time to play along for a chance to win some fabulous stamps from the release!
I played along with the challenges and here is what I did for Challenge #1...
The criteria was 3 different papers and a unique or special fold.
I found one on Youtube by Dawn Griffith HERE, that I liked.
The theme, not surprisingly ,was The London Olympics.
This is the front of the card....
This is the card opened out....
I just love that little Olympian!!
He's from the July release, PKSC-07 (He's a little farm boy really).
I paper pieced him with a mixture of Papermania's 'Portobello Road'
and Forever Friends 'Best Of British papers.
I also used those two sets on the matting.
The 'T' shirt is from an SVG that comes with the set.
(I enlarged it a bit to fit the words that I cut out on my Expression).

Well, that's one down and one to go.
I'll be back tomorrow with my offering for Challenge #2.
Enjoy the sunshine if you've got it, It doesn't appear very often here. lol

Peachy Keen Challenge #29

Playing along with the Peachy Keen Challenges is such a pleasure.
The stamps are unique and Kathy is a genius to keep drawing such amazing images,
before being made into the amazing stamps we all love.

This week's challenge is colour inspired.....

Here's my take on it....

Anyone spot the mistake?
(Well, the most obvious one anyway, there are lots)! lol

I masked the tractor, but stamped the tree a bit too near, so the tyres are up the trunk a bit.
Duh!
Ah well, it's not unusual for me to drop a clanger is it! Ha Ha.

Apart from that, it passes muster I reckon.
I coloured some white pearls to mimic oranges, 'coz I fancied an orange tree.
Everything is coloured with Copics.
I used stamps

(Did you know that there are matching SVGs now to go with the newer stamp sets)?
They are amazing. No more 'fussy cutting around an image.
I'd be lost without them!
Didn't use 'em on this card 'coz I was trying out my masking abilities).
Thanks for visiting today, it's a pleasure to have your company.

A masculine card

It's a nightmare making 'MAN' cards sometimes, don't you think.
Even when I was on the 'Cards For Men' DT, it was a challenge to put one together that I liked.
This one is no different. I'm not 100% sure about it, but as the recipient has got it now, it's too late!
It was for our next door neighbour and to be honest, I'd forgotten it was his birthday.
Thank you Facebook! lol

It was done in a hurry, so that's my excuse for it not to be one of my favourites.

It's based on this sketch by I heart to Stamp.

(I found the sketch too late to enter it).
I'm always doing that!

It doesn't really need any explanation, so will love you and leave you for now,
'coz the Olympics are in town and I don't want to miss anything. lol

Thanks for dropping by. It's always a pleasure to 'see' you!

Happy Anniversary

Not unexpectedly, hubby (Alan) forgot that today is our anniversary.
He went to great pains to remind me that our son Danny's anniversary is on the 5th though!
He's blamed the Olympics for forgetting!
Nice try Alan! Ha ha.
He's so good to me in other ways though, that I've forgiven him.
Here's the card I made for HIM!

Don't you just love that flower frame?
It's by the one and only Peachy Keen!
It's PK-118, Flower Power Frame  At Size A2 (A6 UK) it's the perfect size!

I like it that much, I'm entering it into the latest PK Challenge
ANYTHING GOES!
NO 'I'm NOT!!! I Missed the deadline! BOO!

The flowers are from Little Claire Designs, Camellia Border.
(Can't link 'coz I can't find it on their website now, sorry).

The sentiment is from a smashing stamp set Gift Card Sentiments, By Emma at My Creative Time.

I stamped and water-coloured the flowers in the frame and the sentiment,
with Tim Holtz distress ink.. Broken China.
The Camellias were coloured solely with Copics.

He likes it!
(He also likes breathing)! lol
