OCCC Sentiment challenge

Well, it's a good job the OCC don't have a time limit, 'coz I'd have missed it! LOL
I've had precious little time this week, due to moving Mum into sheltered accommodation and I'm out of step with everything. Including this challenge , which I was determined to do.
All the fabulous DT cards help inspire me too!

The base card is my wonderful Bazzil. A5 top folded. I have no idea of the colour, as I bought it as a pack with each colour in. Could be lilac, could be mauve, could be anything..Ha Ha!
LOVE this sentiment from Verses Rubber Stamps. It's called 'Souls in this world' and is inked with Color Box Cat's Eyes 'Queue' ink. I also used this ink to 'blush' round the edge of the Top Note die shape.

It's mounted on my adored Top Note die, that I trimmed to show the mauve? matt.
The flowers are Prima with a Papermania pearl brad in the center.

Hope you like it. If you do, please leave a comment, I love to know your thoughts.

Have a super Weekend!!! xxx

Can you make an old lady's day?

I'd like to ask all of you a great favour.

As some of you know, I've been ultra busy getting Mum moved out of her bungalow and into her sheltered flat. I'm exhausted but so pleased she's safe and comfortable. It was all hands on deck yesterday for the final move and she is now in her new home. She is 90 years young and understandably a bit bemused and a bit nervous.
I've made her this card. I chose this stamp as it looks a bit like Harvey, my dog, who she adores.
(Even down to the white patch on one paw). LOL

Would you be willing to make her a New Home card too? It would mean the absolute world to her as she LOVES people and loves to be loved. I know it would help her to settle quicker if she had something to look at from all over the world (if possible).

I would also ask of you, that you might mention my request on your blog?

Thank you SO much and I will of course keep you updated as to her reaction!!!

If you would like to send Mum a card, and there's no obligation or pressure to do so, please e-mail me and I'll give you her address. ;0)

Thanks for dropping by and I look forward to your next visit.

While the cat's away......

The 'mouse' has been really busy! DH Alan, zoomed off yesterday morning on his road trip to Switzerland.
I've bathed the dog, cut the grass, vacuumed the carpets, polished the furniture and re-arranged the corner pan cupboard and emptied another cupboard in the kitchen. OH! And cleaned the soot smudges off the carpet in front of the fire.
I need a fender to stop the soot from the fake coals landing on the carpet, as they are a nightmare to clean off. Cillit Bang! to the rescue!!!
Now anyone who knows me, knows what a good girl I've been, 'cuz my priorities are cardmaking, rubber stamping and colouring.
All this because we are having new gas pipes laid and I'm house-locked at the moment. I usually go see Mum on a Wednesday, and shall still go, but later, when the workmen go home for the night, (to put her hair in curlers ready for her weekly outing tomorrow).

I'll be back tomorrow with the SAS Thursday Challenge!!

Thanks for visiting. Viv xxx

Promarker Challenge Blog!!

There's a new blog on the block!
It's called Passion for Promarkers .
As the name suggests, they hold challenges with specific colours of Promarkers.
I'd love to join in, but don't have any, so it'd be a tad difficult.
BUT!! There's a chance! They are holding a blog candy to win some and all you have to do, is link to them and shout about it on your blog!
Well, 'coz I'm greedy and want 'em...I'm whispering!!! Ha Ha

I will play along using my Copics for now. (Do you think they'll notice)? ;0)

Pepped up OCC challenge card

I made a very sedate one yesterday for the OCC challenge and said I'd do another one, 'pepped up a bit'.
I reckon it's a bit pepped up, don't you?LOL

I love this Whipper Snapper stamp. It's SO cute and today he's a Robin Red Breast.

He's coloured with Copics.
The brown CS is matted with Basic Grey's 'Sugared' DP.
The little greeting stamp is an unknown make. I think it was out of a bargain bin.

Well, Alan's off to France ans Switzerland on his scooter, so while he's away, I'm going to try and get some work done in the house. The bathroom needs decorating for a start!

Thanks for dropping in. It's always lovely to 'see' you. xxxx

OCC Challenge

I loved the sketch so much, the card kind of made itself.
It's not as 'pink' as it looks on here. It's more pale beige.
All I've done is change the orientation. Otherwise it's basically true to the sketch.
I think in these colours, it's totally suitable for a bloke.
Now I've made this basic one, I think I might do another and pep it up a bit.

I've matted beige Bazzil Bling CS onto plain dark brown CS.
Nesty ovals and some gold pearls.
The greeting is a stamp by Inkadinkado.

Thanks for stopping by. Appreciate your visits a lot. xxx

A 'Reflective' holiday card.

Only managed to do two cards while I was on holiday. This one and my final sample for the release tomorrow on SAS. (Can't wait for you to see it.)!

I used Copics on all of it. Don't think I did her hair correctly. Looking at girls with black hair on TV, I think the 'shine' is going in the wrong direction. Don't tell anyone will ya!
I love these papers! I'm using them on everything! It's off a huuuge pad I got off QVC.
Can't for the life of me remember what it's called. I shared it with my gud bud Pauline 'coz there was SO many sheets.
The CS is my trusty Bazzil. The stamp is a Sugar Nellie called 'Reflective' and is one of my favourites.

Right! I'm off to bed! Please remember to stop by tomorrow night for the very first Stamps and Smiles BLOG HOP!! Immediately afterwards the new release of stamps will be on sale in the Stamps and Smiles store.

I'm Home!!!

Well Wales was as beautiful as ever, but BOY did it RAIN!!!! Cats and flipping dogs every day....except the day we came home! We were more or less confined to the 'van for the most part.
We couldn't visit indoor places because we had Harvey with us and there were no outdoor attractions due to the bad weather. Never mind, Harvey and I had a stroll on the beach every day when there was a break in the black clouds.

He LOVED looking out of the window to the road at the side. dog and people watching!

Tiring work all that watching!

Yes? Can I help you?

Typical!!! We're going home and the sun comes out!!!

Look at that blue sky!!! It's been grey all week!
(But we did have the coast mainly to ourselves)!

It's good to get away, but it's good to be home!
Keep in touch as I've got news of the latest Stamps ans Smiles release!!!
(I'm late 'coz of being on holiday, so I bet you already know)! Doh!
Thanks for visiting and missing me!! Viv xxx
