Bittersweet news!

We have some very exciting news to share with you about All Dressed Up

We are very lucky to have been featured in issue 51 of
 Complete Cardmaking Magazine!
Two Dressy Girls are actually on the front cover!!!

For those who have not heard of Complete Cardmaking Magazine,
it is the UK's first magazine dedicated to digital crafting.
Each issue comes with a jam packed CD ROM which features lots of digital elements including Digital Stamps & Papers.
With this issue there are 9 digital stamps from All Dressed Up, 2 of which are totally exclusive to Complete Cardmaking, there is also 5 digital papers.
I am one of the dressy girls who was asked to make a card for the magazine using one of the digital stamps.

I was given 'B Is For Bear' for my project

I made a shaped card using a Silhouette cutting file.
The DP is by Papermania.
I used TH Distress inks to colour my sweet little bear and the 'B'.
The '1' is a MFT die
The frame for the image is a Spellbinders Lacy Circle die with a plain circle inside, sponged with Brilliance ink Pearlescent Sky Blue.
A ribbon across the corner finishes it off.

Over on the All Dressed Up Blog we will be showcasing the rest of the cards that are in the magazine, so please go and check 'em out and give them some love,
 they are A-MAZE-ING!!!
Complete Cardmaking can be purchased from 24th July at the following retailers-
Moremags, Morrison's, Tesco, Sainsbury's & Hobbycraft
The magazine features lots of inspiration,
competitions and all the latest digital crafting news,
(plus it will be the only way of getting hold of the 2 All Dressed Up exclusive digital stamps).

That was the first bit of news.
The second part is that I have decided to step down from the All Dressed Up DT.
I want to 'do my own thing' without time constraints, deadlines etc.
I have loads of stamps that haven't seen ink yet and the number of digis I have, need to be seen to be believed!!

I have had a wonderful innings with the most amazing and funny girls on the All Dressed Up team and I will miss them terribly.
Luckily, they have agreed to keep the door open for me should I get fed up of going solo!
I love 'em all!

So there you have it.
I think I've gone out on a high with my card being published in a physical UK mag.
I'm off to raid the supermarkets!!

Thanks for stopping by.  I'll be back soon.

Male birthday

Hya!
It's my son's birthday on the 23rd and I've made a variation of a card I made for one of my grandsons.

You can see that one HERE 'coz I'm blowed if I can find it here on my blog! LOL
It's disappeared!

I saw some gorgeous washi tape on Ebay the other week and bought three rolls that are really 'manly' and sumptuous.

I've used them on this card for my eldest son.
Flippin' heck! He'll be 43!!! OUCH!

You can't really see how the gold shines on this tape.
(Maybe on the the last stripy one on the banner)?
The sentiment  is a Woodware 'Clear Magic' stamp, inked with SU's Chocolate Chip.
The base card is made from Kraft and I matted the ivory linen with Chocolate chip card.
Easy peezy, and quite sophisticated I reckon.

That's it for now folks.
Thanks for stopping by. I love your visits.

July inspiration

Hya friends.
Welcome.
Pull up a chair, relax and let's see what I've been up to.

Today is Inspiration Day for some of All Dressed Up's team A
(More tomorrow)

I made a card I really don't like, but have decided to share it with you as my fellow DT friends, don't appear to agree with me!

Here is said card....

I saw this frame in the Silhouette store and loved it.
I faffed (a technical term) about with it and made it into a card.

I coloured my cute image 'Summer Swing' and the 'foliage' on the frame with Copics.
The background to my swinging kitty is an image from PC Hug Club.
Sadly defunkt now! II still have the browser and all my fabulous files though).
I scanned my coloured image then I married it to the background using the Silhouette.
 So there you have it.

As I said, I don't like it now it's done so decided to make another one instead.

 TOTALLY different! LOL

OK, tell me. Which one do YOU prefer?
I'd be very interested in your answers.

Well that's it from me today.
Thanks for visiting! I can't wait to see which you choose.

Happy Anniversary

Hya friends!
No stress, chilled out...'till the next problem! LOL

Today I made a card for my son & DIL's wedding anniversary.
It's while they are away on holiday, so I have to make it early, so they can take it with them to open on the day.

I TRY and make them a trendy card, but it doesn't always pan out quite how I wanted it to.
No matter, it's quite CAS and matches their colour scheme at home.
I CASED THIS gorgeous card off Splitcoast Stampers whilst looking for inspitration.
(Thanks frenziedstamper)!

The frame is Spellbinders Filigree Delight
The sentiment is from one of my favourite sets ' Large Fancy Sentiments' from Justrite
Stamped and embossed with Stampendous 'Pearlustre Moonstone Opaque'
The CS is white linen and Crumb Cake.

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Just because

Hi friends.
Thanks for your lovely comments about my stress head yesterday.
Everything is hunky dory again thankfully.
Families eh! Who'd have 'em! LOL

Had a bit of an urge to craft this morning after seeing a video by France Martin HERE.

This is my take on it.....

I used some CS that I THINK is Pink Petticoat, but not 100% sure.
Gotta tell ya about those flower stamps, coloured with TH Distress marker 'Evergreen Bough'.
(Matches the CS perfectly)!
The sentiment is from a Verve set.
I used the marker to make the polka dots on the bottom flowers
and to shade the petals on the top flower.

 Here's the stamp set!
You can see that the stamps are a good size

and on the reverse....
Ten mother of pearl buttons.
I got this set when I went to the Happy Stamper Show in May.
Not from Happy Stampers, but a little church hall across from the venue!!
It cost me £1.50!! BARGAIN!!

Hope you're having a lovely weekend in this glorious sunshine!

Back soon with another project!

Under the weather!

Hi friends.
Hope all is well in your world.
Things are a tad stressful here, but hey! it will pass....I hope! LOL

As I'm not feeling 100%, I thought the challenge at In The Pink was just up my street.

Here's what I came up with......
Now this is my very first card coloured with Distress inks, so please be kind.
The stamp is LOTV's  'Time For A Cuppa'.
Spellbinder's Fancy Frame
Sentiment generated by the Silhouette.
Gems from my stash.

I'm entering this into the challenge at In The Pink.... 'Get Well Soon/Thinking Of You'.

Thanks for visiting today, I much appreciate it.

Your favourite All Dressed Up Image!

It is new challenge time at All Dressed Up.
Our theme for this challenge is *Your Favourite All Dressed Up image*

 Here is my favourite image

I have used 'Pirate puppy'  (There are FOUR images included in the price)!
I LOVE this little guy to bits! He HAS to be my favourite boy image....up to now!
The anchor and ship's wheel are die cut.
The DP are from Pink Petticoat
The 'wave' is an SVG cut on my Silhouette.
Coloured as usual with my Copics.

Now, I couldn't leave it there, 'coz I DO have a favourite girly image that I HAD to include.

Isn't she just gorgeous!
She's 'My Little Flower Girl' and I love her.
(She's what's made me late getting this posted).
It's all her fault! LOL
The lace ribbon and DP is from the Papermania Eau-de-Nil Capsule Collection.
I coloured her with Copics and the sentiment is from Clearly Besotted's 'It's your birthday'.
The frame is from Spellbinders,  'Card Creator die A2 Filigree Delight'.
Sorry I'm late, but I think she was worth it.
What do you think?

This challenge will run until (will be the 15th of  August!
(Bags of time to play along then).
