Sketch Challenge on PCP

Well it IS coming up on us rapidly,
so the sketch challenge just HAD to have a Christmas theme, didn't it!
This one was created for a group I belong to on Paper Craft Planet called, 'Sketch Challenge'.

The DP is SU and it's mounted on Core-dinations CS.
The sentiment is by Penny Black and I smudged the edges with my trusty Tim Holtz smudgy thingy in Rose Red by SU.
Threading Water punch used on the bottom of the card so you can get a peek at the lining paper on the inside.
Ribbon from my stash and the 'wreath' is punched leaves using my Leone Em branch punch.

Thanks for stopping by today. Please leave a comment, I do love it when you do.

High Hopes challenge

I did this card in 'High Hopes'
of a chance to win one of their fabulous stamps.
The fantastically talented ILA did the sketch
and the DT have done her proud. Go see!

I LOVE this snowman stamp and love colouring him in. He's a bit intricate in places and I've gone a bit awry now and again, but I couldn't throw him out, could I? I've coloured him with that 'eclectic mix' again! LOL. Prisma colours and Crayolas. (They are all in the same jar), Twinkling H2Os, and the odd Marvey or two. Ribbon from my stash and the papers are from Papermania's 'A wonderful Christmas Time' pad. Leaves from my Leone Em punch and I've added one or two gold snowflake brads. I forgot to run him through the CB Swiss Dots folder to replicate snow. Doh. Too late! He'll have to do.

Thanks for visiting. Please leave a comment, I do appreciate them.

Blog Candy challenge card.

Debbie over on Pink Poppy Craft box is celebrating 5000 hits.
Well done Debbie! She has given all would be candy grabbers a challenge.
It's to make a Christmas using the sketch provided on her blog.
Plus, she'd like to know what's on your Christmas list for Santa! ;0)
Lastly, put a link to your blog telling everyone about it.
Her blog is well worth a visit (or two or more)!

Here is my entry........

Dovecraft DP from the Winter Wonderland pad.
Sentiment is a Cuddly Buddly stamp.
Branches are made with my Leone Em punch.
(Don't need the Martha Stewart one now)!
Image is from my gorgeous SU Lovely as a Tree set.
Sponged the faded edges with a Brilliance ink pad called Pearlescent Sky Blue.
Thanks for stopping by, please leave a comment. It makes my day. Vivxx

Not a happy bunny at the moment

I wonder how many of you think I've emigrated!
I've had a really stressful two weeks with Mum and haven't had the inclination to blog.
I've not made any cards as I can't get my mojo working at all.
Mum has had her cataract removed and the aftercare is high volume.
To top it all off, my blog candy went to the wrong address and the PO took 10 days to get it back to me.
I am ashamed to admit, with Mum needing looking after, I've only just managed to re-send it.
I feel really bad about this and what should have been a pleasure for the winner has turned sour.
I'm so sorry Eve!!! It will be with you very soon.
Feeling quite down at the moment and only hope I can get back into the swing of things soon.
Hope I haven't depressed anyone. LOL

A challenge card at last!

It's been ages since I've been able to make a challenge card.
I saw this challenge on PCP and thought I'd have a bash.

Paper Craft Planet is a brilliant crafter's meeting place, similar to SCS.
It's not as scary though. LOL
Hope you like it. Thanks for visiting. Viv xx

Crafting day with friends..perfect!

Had a wonderful day yesterday.

Some of my favourite people came to enjoy a day of 'playing'.

(Others were either at work,

or live too far away for a single day's playing. awww).

I've not had a chance to enjoy my favourite pastime for a while,

as I've had a lot on my plate with Mum and her health problems,

hospital appointments for her and general visits.
Not to mention two lots of tooth abcesses!!!

Started the day at 9.15 with Jackie and Sandra catching me in my bathrobe!!
Followed by the arrival of Pam. All we were waiting for was Diane,
(Dizzy Di as she's known to us).
Silly Billy overslept and didn't get here 'till almost lunchtime!
This of course, meant that she missed out on the compulsory bacon butties.
(It's getting to be a tradition now when we all meet at each other's houses).
Practically all my craft room was de-camped into the living room where the big garden table was. We STILL struggled for room!!!

We all had a trip to Craft Central in Congleton which was lovely.
Didn't get much though. Didn't seem to be a lot of choice.
I got one of those easel thingies that you put your card on.
That was good value at £1.

BUT!!!! the best part of the day (besides the brilliant company),

was this card I did.

Why? 'Coz it's the first one I've made
using my new Janome Sew-Mini!
I don't think it's too bad for my very first attempt.
Now those that know me will be stunned
because I'm known for intensely disliking 'cloth piercing'.
This is different though, isn't it!
It's not 'cloth piercing', it's playing! LOL

Well I think I've rambled enough for now, thanks for stopping by! Viv xxx
