A Krafty Male Birthday card

I have finally ordered this fantastic clear stamp by Papermania!
I LOVE stamping it, cutting round it and putting it on the front of ANY card and it's almost DONE!

I added a couple of banners made with the Diamond Plate embossing folder by Cuttlebug.
(I inked up the embossing folder with Elzybell's 'Cookie Dough' first).

I coloured the letters with Copic number E43.
That's it! Job done!
This is for my grandson Adam, who will be 20 tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a marvellous weekend!

A man card

If you're following the Peachy Keen Hop, you'll find it HERE.

Yesterday was my youngest son's birthday.
Eldest 41, youngest 31! Crikes, I'm OLD!
Well, before Iget an attack of the vapours, I'll show you the card I made him. LOL

Stampin Up! Crumb Cake CS
The DP is from a 12x12 pad of Kraft patterned papers by The Paper Studio, called 'Every Day Kraft'.
I got it in America last year when I visited Kathy founder of Peachy Keen Stamps.
There are 3x20 patterns in it. Fabulous for bloke's cards!

The greeting is a Woodware stamp. LOVE 'em! Big and bold!
I cut the 'SON' out on my Expression.
(Wish I could remember which font I used, 'coz I like it). Doh!
I added some white gel pen to the letters.

 This is the inside.

BJ (my son), was quite impressed I'm pleased to say.

Have a wonderful day!

Peachy Keen MEGA blog hop!

The hop is now closed.
The winners can be viewed HERE.
Thanks so much for being a part of this amazing hop!

Hya everyone!
Are you ready for our MEGA hop?

Both current and alumni design teams have come together for one HUGE Halloween/Fall Blog Hop and you are ALL invited to join us as we share some fabulous creations, fun and PRIZES!
I really hope you can join us!!
If you came here via the very talented Heidi you are going in the right direction.

There are FIVE prizes up for grabs chosen at random.
(The blogs holding the prizes are hidden amongst the DTs,
so to be in with a chance of winning, you need to visit every blog).
There is...
1 $50 Gift Certificate and 4 $25 Gift Certificates,
Winners will be announced at noon on Saturday BST, (6am CST).

The idea is to create a project with the Fall and /or Halloween theme.
Using our more 'vintage' oldies but goody stamps.
To me, they have really stood the test of time and are a pleasure to ink up as much today, as they were when they were released.

I made two projects using two different older sets...

(I CASED THIS card by Amy R for my first project).

I used the set PK- 629 'Carved Pumpkin, Bat and Happy Halloween'.
This set is SO versatile! Definitely one of my favourite Halloween sets.
The fence is made from a VERY old Sizzix fence die. you know the ones, they were made for the old red, weighs a ton, metal Sizzix machines. It works just as well in my Big Shot thankfully, 'coz I like it.
The papers are all Echo Park.

My second project is also a card...theoretically!
I made this using THIS tutorial by the one and only, Kim Score.

It worked wonderfully. Everything folded flat, as it should and I was dead pleased with it...'till i decided to get clever and add the fence where I did! DUH!
It LOOKS good, but when I fold everything flat, the flippin' fence sticks out the bottom! Arghh!
So now my 'card' has become a 'scene decoration'! Ha Ha!

This  is the *cough* 'card'....

 Front view
Stamps
PK-636 (The tree and sentiment) and PK-131 (The little ghost)
The tombstones and the holes in the ground, are from the Cottage Cutz die Frankly.
and the Cat is the Cottage Cutz die Nikkity Knack cat. (Both designed by Kathy).
The fence is a Martha Stewart punch.

Here's a top view so you can see the little ghost appearing out of the black hole
and the dimensions of the pieces.

Your next stop is the amazingly talented Melissa!

Here is a list of all the blogs taking part, just in case you jumped in and are a little bit lost.

Thanks to all of you for your lovely comments.
The winners can be found HERE.

Hi friends and welcome to Angelica's Fond Farewell Blog Hop.

We are thrilled that you could join us for this special event to honour a wonderful person in her new venture.
You will have read all about it in previous posts, so I'll just add  that
I've had the privilege of meeting Angelica (Kathy's daughter), when I visited Kathy last year and have known her since I joined the DT 3 years ago.

She's as lovely as she is capable and I wish her every success in her new role.

If you arrived here from Saundra you are hopping along in just the right order, but if you started here, then you will want to go back to the beginning to The Peachy Keen Stamps blog, because you're not going to want to miss one single crafty creation. (Plus all the details are on there)!

Here is the card I've made for Angelica and it will be winging it's way across the Atlantic toot sweet.

The main image is from the stamp set PKSC-07
The sentiment is mine, printed on the Computer.
The other elements are pretty self-explanatory.

By visiting all the blogs, not only do you get to see some of the best projects out there,
you also have a chance of winning a $20 Gift Voucher!!
The blog will stay open until Tuesday to give you plenty of time to play along.

Four of us will be holding the gift vouchers but no-one knows which four.
So, to be in with a chance of winning, you need to leave a comment on every blog
and also on the Peachy Keen blog.
Here's a list of all of us taking part in case you happen to lose your way.

Your next stop is MICHELLE.

WE WILL MISS YOU ANGELICA!!!

Happy Hopping and good luck!

Challenge #2

Phew!! Managed to make a second card under duress! LOL
Had the youngsters all day today, so had to make this last night and early morning!
Alfie is 2 and a half and Maisie is 6 months old, so there was going to be no chance any other time today!
Loved having them though. Alfie is a treasure and Maisie just never stops smiling!

Well here's the card for Challenge #2 over at the Peachy Keen Connection.

The Challenge is a sketch, here....

Here's my take on it....
Pumpkin and sentiment are from PK-629
The heart is a die by Nellie Snellen.
Patterned paper by Cosmo Cricket.
Edges made with the Martha Stewart Crackle punch.
I coloured the 'inside' of the pumpkin with a yellow Spica pen to give the effect of a glow from a candle.

I'll be back tomorrow with something a a little bit special,
so please come back around 2pm BST, 8am CST.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Thursday 6 September 2012

Then there was a THIRD!

Wow! my mojo must've had a good holiday, 'coz it's back and refreshed after it's long break!
NAUGHTY mojo going missing on me!!

Have you seen the September release at Peachy Keen!!! Gob open wide, happy as Larry, I just don't know how Kathy keeps on coming up with such cute and whimsical characters.
Each set is a work of art...literally!
Just go and look at all the new goodies on offer...HERE!
PK held a release party last night I'ts still going strong today) and hosted two challenges for a chance to win some of the new release stamps.
What are you WAITING for!! Get on over to the Peachy Keen Connection and join in the fun.
The first challenge is...
Use "3 of Something" on your card or project.
(You can make anything you'd like for this challenge, as long as it follows Michelle's guidelines, AND you need to use the Peachy Keen Stamps of your choice.
ONLY entries using PKS will be considered for the prize).
You need to upload your entry on the Peachy Keen Connection, but it's dead easy and there are instructions to help you should you have a problem.

Well, my '3 of something' has a Halloween flavour again.
I've got the bug after making that graveyard card earlier.
My three things are the Nikkity Knack Cats, made with Cottage Cutz/PK dies.
LOVE dies (and SVGs). They make fussy cutting redundant.

I used Lori Whitlock's Bat Card.
Perfect for my needs today. I used the Cuttlebug Drippy Goo EF on the inside of the tag before adhering my two Nikkity Knack cats.
Of course, this pocket card would be suitable for all manner of occasions, not just Halloween.
OK, enough waffling, show 'em the project Viv!

Here's the whole thing...

With the card half out...

Completely out

The sentiments are from PK-631 Halloween minis.

Well, that's deffo all from me today. All I'm going to do tonight, is think about Challenge #2!
It's a  deceptively simple sketch.
Now let me think.............what will I come up with....
sig

Two cards today!

Yes! They are like buses today, none for ages then two come along at once! lol

I enjoyed a lovely crafting day with my good friend, Pauline!
She came over from Derby and we had a smashing day in my craft room.
We had the obligatory bacon butty, Chinese chicken wings for lunch, then chilli for tea.
Scrummy!!

We made 6 cards between us!!
(We don't usually get so productive, too busy nattering). lol
First one I made

I have TONS of Pink Petticoat digital papers, so when I saw THIS set I HAD to have it.
It reminds me of the Tessatina die by Memory Box.
LOVE that die, but don't have it, so the next best thing was to get the papers that remind me of it.
I chose Duck Egg Blue and printed a negative page and a plain matching page.
I used a Sizzix EF on the bottom half of a 6"x 6" card,
cut out the Spellbinder's Fancy Frame with the plain colour and then cut a plain Spellbinder's oval for the centre to take the sentiment. ( I stamped the sentiment a tad too low, so added a pearl for balance).

 Card #2

I'd seen THIS lovely card by Betty I dearly wanted to CASE,  made with the
My Favourite Things Hexagon die.
(Another die I covet, but don't have)!
What to do? Wanted to share in this hexagon fest so much!
Tra-La!! Surely an SVG file will do the job! Yeah!
I improvised with the hexagons from THIS super set from the Cutting Cafe.
I'm in hexagon heaven now!
The sentiment is from a  Just Rite stamp set, Fleur de Lis Labels Twenty.
(Love how they match the Spellbinders dies).
Ribbon from my stash and the papers are from the gorgeous  'This and That' 'Graceful' kit by Lorie Whitlock/Echo Park.

Have a lovely day and if the sun is shining for you today in Britain, enjoy it while it lasts!

A catty Halloween!

Hi everyone!
Been busy sorting the fish tank out and hopefully, we've got it cycling properly now.
I'd forgotten how labour intensive it is when it comes to replacing the water and cleaning everything!
Well it's all done and dusted for a while now, so we can sit back and enjoy results.
Talking of results, I've made a card that's based on THIS cute card form Darlene Design.
Here's my version.....(getting ready for Halloween or WHAT)!

A different angle

I just used two Cottage Cutz/Peachy Keen dies.
and

Everything was sponged and I must admit, for my first attempt, I'm pretty pleased.

Have a fabulous week!
