Have a 'hoot'

Hya friends!
How's the snow at your neck of the woods?
Back to the usual here, melting and slushy. Yak!
Loved it while it was coming down though. I'm a sucker for snow.

OK, a few days ago, I made this card for my DH's nephew....
It's a blatant CASE of a fabulous card by Karin Akesdotter.
(She's one of my heroines).

The background is done with a Hero Arts massive wooden stamp.
I cut a hole and then inked up some pale blue card to make a night sky.
I reverse masked the 'moon'  and sponged it with Memento Luxe 'Wedding dress'.
That's white to you and me. LOL
The owl is a digi from Dawn's Digis.
I was daft 'coz I forgot to mount the wood-grain card onto foam pads. so it's a bit flat really.
Ah well. more haste, less speed as my mum used to say.
I did the speech bubble on my Cameo.
The little branch is a die from Paper Smooches
(Oh and I added the 'feathers' to his chest with a Sharpie pen).
the 'stars' were made with a white gel pen.
The base card is Kraft.
Well, Thanks for your visit. It's lovely to 'see' you.
I hope you are enjoying your weekend and don't fall over in the ice and snow!
Take care!

Talking about snow they say we will be getting 7 inches tonight, we cannot complain here in Wisconsin we should have a lot of snow and right now we have no snow on the ground. The weather man has been wrong before so we will see if we get it our wonderful Lake Michigan has saved us before and maybe it will save us again.
Love the wood stamp makes a great background and the Owl is so adorable, nice way to add the sky, just a daring card. Have a super week end.
Hugs, Pat/♥

You did a superb job making the owl peek through the tree. Love how you sponged the moon as well.

I have that wood grain stamp and love it. Darling little owl and love the moon. Hope the slush disappears quickly and that is never fun.

I love that wood grain background, but also the darling owl and the night sky with the moon. All very cleverly designed! Also, those feathers -- I would have thought they were part of the stamp. This is adorable!
