I have some exciting news!

I can finally share the news I've been bursting to share with you all!
I am back on the Peachy Keen DT! Oh Joy! How I missed being a part of my Peachy family.

To celebrate my good fortune, I made this card....

Very appropriate doncha think?
I used the PKSC-12. SO versatile as are all Peachy Keen Stamps.
Dunno how Kathy keeps coming up with such goodies, but bless her, she DOES!
(Just wait 'till you clap your eyes on the new one next week )!!WOWEE!!

OK, calm down Viv!
I coloured the bottle and ribbon with Copics (as usual).
The DP are from a pad by GCD Studios called Joyful Peace.
Yep, they are actually Christmas papers, but they are really subtle, so look perfect with the theme I reckon.

Well my friends, I look forward to playing along next year so much at Peachy Keen.
I do hope you'll play along with too.

Have a VERY Happy and healthy New Year!

The last one......

....for sending. Phew!

LOVE the PKSC-11 Most of all, I've totally fallen for these KERRYUTE reindeer!

They appear a lot in my Christmas cards this year and will continue to do so NEXT year.
I LOVE 'em!!

I've used a little grey lady today and given her a red bow for some colour.
Isn't she SWEET!
I've added a couple of snowflakes from the Peachy Picks kit and put a couple of little red gems in the middle to balance the red bow.
The 'village' background is a die cut onto glitter card. I'm not sure whose, as I cut it with  my mate Jackie's die. I THINK it's a Spellbinder one.

I coloured my little lady reindeer with Copics.
The sentiment is a wooden stamp by Art Impressions.

Well my lovely followers and casual visitors,
I can't thank you enough for all your wonderful and kind comments over the past year.
Please know, I appreciate every comment and visit more than you'll ever know.
If I haven't managed to return the compliment, forgive me.
I'll try harder in the New Year.

I'd like to wish you all a VERY Happy Christmas
and hope your New Year proves to be happy and healthy.

PKS Challenge 47 It's SPECIAL!

'Why is is 'special' do I hear you ask?
Well, it's special because it's my best American buddy's birthday this weekend!
It's the Queen Peach Kathy Jakopovich's birthday on Sunday and Lorie (another best bud from over the Pond), has made this challenge just for us to celebrate Kathy's special day.
I love her to bits . She works like a donkey 24/7 to bring us her special whimsical stamps month in, month out.

Here's the challenge sketch

And here's my card for my very great pal....

It's winging it's way to her and hope she likes it.
Prima flowers and Echo Park Dots & Stripes DP.
The sentiment is from an old wooden stamp that has no maker's name on it.

Pop on over to the Peachy Keen Challenge blog to read all about the special challenge
 (and hopefully, join in).
Hope it isn't chucking it down where you are!
The rain here in Cheshire is ceaseless! UGH!
What happened to the Siberian snowfall we were supposed to be getting ???
Gone with the wind I reckon! lol

Thanks for dropping in, I love getting visitors!

More Christmas cards!

Yep! More!
Time soon enough for starting on Valentine and Easter cards eh!

This Memory box ornament die  has done great service this year.
(Must buy it, been using my pal Jackie's die)!

That beautiful deep red card with a subtle sheen is from  CJ Cardcraft
Have a wander round her gallery!! WOW!!

Can't really give you any details on this one, (except for the bauble)! lol
The vintage Rose elements were in my Christmas stash and I can't remember where I got them.
They were a devil to stick being so transparent.
But they were so gorgeous, I did me best and managed it.
I made this for my best buddy, Pam.
(She's a real less is more fan, so this probably did her head in)! Ha Ha!
Sorry Pam!

I made this card last year and kept it for some reason.
(Maybe I'd sent all that I needed to)?
Well, it's going out this year come what may!

It's my little grandson Alfie's birthdays on Tuesday, (same day as mine)!
So I'd better get on and make his card.

It's funny the way our birthdays run.
My birthday is the 11th December
Alfies birthday is 11th December
His late Granma's birthday was the 11th December
I have a cousin who's birthday is 11th December!!

How weird is THAT!!
There's more!!
I was born in 1948
Mum was born in 1918
My Nanna was born in 1888
See where this is going?

I digress....often! lol

Pop on over to Cards For Men to see who today's sponsor is
and the prize on offer!

Enjoy your Sunday!

Cards For Men Days Of Christmas Day 6.

Hi everyone! Welcome to Day 6,
my spot for the Days of Christmas Hosted by Cards For Men!

(Remember, you need to go over there to find out who won yesterday's prize and also find out who is hosting tomorrow's project)!

My day is sponsored by the very talented.........
"Welcome to the brilliantly bizarre brain of Dr. Digi's House of Stamps
Here you will find Monsters, Aliens, Odd balls and Dundertons
as well as many many more wonderful digital stamps.
Our artist and founder cut his teeth in the craft world at the company
"Just Inklined", where his unique digis made a huge impression.
We're hoping to continue to entertain and amuse,
with our growing catalogue of great value digis with a sense of humour".

He's not wrong either!I LOVE the image I chose to play with today.
Love it so much, did TWO cards, not just one.....
Don't you just LOVE that cuddly Santa!!
The beauty of digi stamps is that you can re-size 'em, to your heart's content.
Well I didn't go THAT far, just a minor adjustment to let me fit him into different frames.
In this top card, I coloured him with Copics and framed him in a couple of Nestie Circles, sponged with Tim Holtz 'Scattered Straw' with a background of Pink Petticoat digi paper.

This Santa is a little larger bless him.
He fits nicely into this other Nestie frame.
(Don't ask me which one, I always chuck the wrapping out, so never remember which is what)! LOL
Coloured again with Copics.
The Words on both cards are from the 'Small Alphabet' die set by
 Emma of My Creative Time.
I LOVE that set. it's bigger than some out there and makes a great statement.
I used three white brads as the dots you put at the end of a sentence when you want to leave it hanging.
I hope Dr Digi approves of my take on his Santa and I hope you do to.
Remember to leave a comment to be in with a a chance to win 2 digis of your choice by Dr Digi!
I will be choosing a winner tomorrow so you need to call in at Cards For Men to find out if it was you!

Oh! Forgot to say that Donna has asked  me to re-join the Cards For Men DT and am delighted to accept.
I will start officially when CFM returns after the Christmas break on 7th Jan. when I look forward to sharing my CFM projects with you.
Thanks for dropping by and good luck!

A Winter scene

Off to the dentist tonight!
Had the worst few days ever with firstly, a tooth abcess and then the infection from it coursing through my body, causing all sorts of grief!
A high fever 40o!!! Upset tummy keeping me awake for two nights, chills etc.
Hopefully, I'll get antibiotics when I go to kill what's left of the infection.
The begger of it is though, the tooth pain went three days ago!
OK, enough of the sob story, let's crack on..

As soon as I saw this stamp, I knew I'd have to have it.
Doesn't it make you think of Christmases past, when all around was sparkling and quiet and the world looked a much prettier place.

Stampendous 'Snowy Postcard'
Memento 'London Fog'
Spellbinders Nestie die
White linen CS
Don't think it needs anything else, do you?

Going to try different colurs now. Maybe sepia or ice blue.
Watch this space!

Have a great day.

Shape It Up!

Hi, it's nice to 'see' you.
I've made two projects today that I'm entering in Peachy Keen Challenge #45.

The theme is 'Shape it up'!
As the name suggests, the card has to be shaped in some way.
To this end, I thought a mitten or a stocking would maybe be quite nice.
Off I trot to my svg files and luckily enough have both svgs!
They are by Bird's Cards .I've got loads of her files to play with.
They are free and are just the ticket for shaped cards.
(I think the elf shoes are my next make)!

I LOVE that snowman!
(There is also svgs that match this set! HERE!

Here's a side(ish) view.
My next card uses the exact same stamp set..

The DP is digital from Pink Petticoat!

I cut the shapes and then made a shadow blackout twice and scored one about 2" from the top and adhered that portion to the back of front,(if you know what I mean)! lol

Two totally different cards using one stamp set! Brilliant!
Off to upload on the Peachy Challenge Blog!

Thanks for dropping in, I always love visitors.
