A new home and a new computer

Update!!!!
The wonderful person who I contacted at Craft Edge Support
has managed to give me a new activation code and I'm now up and running again with my SCAL2.
PHEW!!! That's one less problem.

Well actually, a new home CARD! But I DO have a new PC.
I inadvertently opened a virus called the UPS Trojan.
It was a seemingly innocent e-mail telling me a tracking number for a package.
I thought nothing of it as I was expecting a package from the USA.
Should have had at least TWO brains cells working and realised that UPS don't put a tracking number in an attachment!!!! STUPID VIV!!!
It cost me a new computer and three days of total stress!!! I now have Windows 7 which is as Greek to me as Vista was when I first got it!!
I am SLOWLY getting to grips with the new OS, but I can't replace lots of programs and files that I'd downloaded from the web. They are gone and I'm SO upset about it.
Another problem is with my SCAL2! I bought the program and the CD, 'just in case' but can't re-activate it, 'coz I can't access my details, which are in the dead PC!!  ARGHHH!!!
Oh well, I've done crying over my spilled milk now, so onwards and upwards.
Here is a New Home card I made for my good friend Brenda.

I LOVE this card and when I get this stupid computer the way I need it, I will make some more similar.
I CASED THIS card from Jenny Moores of Stamping Moments.
I love her cards and projects. I've bought a few tutorilas too and I've had great success with them.
As you can see, I have the SU! Owl, now all I need is the punch! Won't be long now!!!
It took me nearly all day to construct.
It's about the only project Jenny hasn't done any instructions for, so I had to wing it.

Well, that's it from me for now. I'll be back VERY late Tomorrow night / Tuesday morning along with my DT sisters with a sneak peek of THE best EVER new release of Peachy Keen Stamps.
We will be sneak peeking all week until Friday when you get to see our complete projects
and the hop will start!!!
They have GOT to be THE cutest and prettiest, and downright most hilarious stamps you ever saw!

Well! THAT was one marathon post! Are you still awake?
(Sorry, but there was so much to tell you all)! LOL

It's time for another Peachy Keen Challenge!

Where DOES the time go! Since the last challenge, I've had that horrible bug, (I'm over it now for the most part, I'm pleased to say)! Mac, our 6month old puppy, has had his bits off and today he had his stitches out. He gets really car sick. Anyone have any remedies? I do have tablets from the vet, but would prefer alternatives, if there are any out there?
Well, enough of Mac's woes, on to the latest Peachy challenge!
It's another sketch! You can't seem to get enough of 'em! LOL

There's no 'twist' today. Just the sketch.

Here's what I came up with....

Don't you think the St. Patrick's Day mouse looks great in a tux!!!
Well, as St. Pat's Day has come and gone, I didn't want to put my cutie into hibernation,
so had a think and came up with this.
He looks ever so posh in his party suit don't you think?.
I coloured him with Copics and matted him onto pink Swiss Dotted card, then silver mirri card.
(I also embossed the white card at the back).
The sentiment is computer generated and the banner was made by me.

Well, if you want more inspiration, you MUST check out my DT sistahs!
They have gone that extra mile yet again.
Please go and visit them and give them some love!
I do hope you'll join in with our challenge. We LOVE all your beautiful submissions and there's always a fantastic prize on offer.
Hop on over the the
for all the details and to see the beautiful cards made by the DT.

You must link up BEFORE 4th of April to be eligible to win PK- 858 'Spring words'  Stamp set.....

Have a great week!

Grandson's Birthday

Whoa!! He's 14 tomorrow!!!
What happened to that chubby little lad who clung to his dad's legs like velcro!
He's a young man now and as thin as a rake!
Where DOES the time go!!
This is Eric to a 'T'! (Yep, he was named after Eric 'the King' Cantona)!
This image from Mo Manning looks just like Eric now!
This is him all over!! Either on Facebook or on the Play Station! lol
He's coloured with Copics as usual and I added DCWV  'Green Stack' DP.
Plus some suede twine wrapped round the sentiment.
That's basically it folks. Hope you like it.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Birthday or Anniversary?

I've made this card for my daughter-in-law's birthday on Saturday.
(It's OK, she doesn't see my blog).
The stamp is by Lili Of The Valley and is called 'On the garden Wall'.
Now this cute couple are the image of Claire and my son BJ.
So much so, I wanted to use it for their wedding anniversary card,
but as their anniversary isn't until January the 4th, I just couldn't resist and had to make it into a birthday card instead! I might do it all in white and make it an anniversary card anyway! LOL

Stuff:
Stamp - LOTV
Colouring - Copics
Pearl scroll - Peachy Keen
Ribbon - SU!
Sentiment and scalloped card-stock - Craftwork Cards
Sponging -  Brilliance ink
Image frame - Nestability

Well I think I'm finally free of that awful bug that has laid me low for a couple of weeks.
Maybe now I can concentrate on 'playing' a bit more now! LOL
I hope today finds/has found you, fit and well. If not, take care and get well soon. xxx

Don't forget my blogaversary candy HERE!

 sig

I've added some extra items to my candy!

Can you tell what they are?

I might find one or two more bits and pieces before Sunday if you're good lol.
If you want to try for the candy,
please leave your comment on the main candy post below this one.

70th Birthday

It's my Brother-in-Law's birthday on Saturday and I reckon this card is him to a 'T'!!
He has his own 'wing' at home and gets waited on hand and foot!!!
I gave him a tea stain down his vest! LOL I must admit,
Edward is a fanatic for being clean, but he'll see the funny side.

Stuff:
CS-Kraft
DP-Doodlebug Design
Image and sentiment -Bugaboo digi stamps
'70' - Cut on me Cricut using SCAL
Ribbon-Papermania
Sponged with Brilliance Pearlescent Sky Blue
Coloured with Copics
Nestability label summat or other. (I keep 'em in a binder and forgot to label 'em)!

Well, while I'm posting this card, Mac, our 6 month old Jack Russel Beagle look-a-like, is having his 'bit's off!! OUCH!! All say 'Awww'. He'll better for it I'm sure. Harvey is not the worse for HIS op!
I'm just waiting now for word from the vet on how he's doing and when we can pick him up.
Let's hope it slows him down a bit! I can't get anything done for chasing after him with socks and knickers hanging out of his mouth! Yak! I dunno how he gets 'em! EVERYTHING is on sky hooks until he's outgrown his puppiness. LOL
Ah well, of to make a cuppa. This virus is getting into full swing again and I could drink a river!!
Take care!

A new Peachy Keen Challenge and a little message from me.

Firstly, I'd like to apologise to all the wonderful ladies who took part in the previous PK Challenge and didn't get a comment from me. I was away for 5 days taking in the Make It Show at Farnborough, staying with my very good buddy Issy, during which time I got the dreadful virus that's been going round!
So all in all, I've not been either available, or in a fit state to blog for nearly two weeks.
(Took to my bed for part of it)!
Well, I'm almost over it now and raring to go. Are you ready?
Are you still following me? I hope so, I've been rather MIA as I explained,
but hope to remedy that as soon as possible and catch up with you all.
On to the challenge then.....

The RULES
Create a card or layout based on the SKETCH provided

THE TWIST
Use bling of any kind to embellish your creation!

GUIDELINES
Design must be new
Project must incorporate elements from provided sketch and twist.
Link up before March 21st

As with all of PK sketch challenges, the basic layout should be there,
but feel free to flip elements and be creative!

One lucky random winner will receive this adorable set...PK-265,  Bunny Dolls!

Here is your sketch .........

(Don't forget the bling)! LOL

Here is my take on the sketch using a brand new addition to the PK range of goodies available in the PK Store!

Isn't that pearl scroll gorgeous!! I wanted it to represent a wispy cloud.
It's a lot longer than on this card, I just cut some off to fit that 'wood' circle.
Talk about value for money! I only used a third of the strip!
It's from the new range PK is stocking by Want2Scrap. It's W2S-08.
The sparkly gems around the green circle are cut from one of two 'brackets' from set W2S-01.
They are BIG! but as I don't scrapbook, I just got my trusty craft knife and used them individually.
I've hardly made a dent in the first bracket! They are BIG so will go a long way.
You can see the all PK's new additions new range at the Peachy Keen Store.
There are chipboard books, bling, EK Success punches, Wobbles and not forgetting the gorgeous pink stamping blocks!
I used the Cottage Cutz/PK die 'Tear Kitty' to make my (kind of) woodland animal. (I used PK-757,
'Wide-eyed and Bushy Tailed face assortment', instead of one of the stamps that come with the Kitty).
She does look a LITTLE like a squirrel sort of animal doesn't she?
I even used used Bazzil Bling CS!!!
Please visit my DT sisters over at the Peachy Keen Blog.
You will be in for more treats than you can you imagine!

Have a lovely peaceful and pleasant day!
