Auction alert!!!!

What am I talking about you ask????
Well! My lovely friend Lisa, who is on the Peachy Keen DT with me,
is carrying out an auction on Ebay in memory of her gorgeous children.
you can find the auction HERE.
Rather than me try to explain,
I will let Lisa tell you in her own words....

'Welcome to my auction. This week I am listing a huge assortment of items that will be auctioned off for charity in my children's memory. I lost my two children at the ages of 3 & 5 in a horrific car crash in 2007. Ever since then I try to do charity auctions several times a year that will benefit Make a Wish Foundation and/or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

No parent deserves to watch their children suffer. I know this isn't much but at this time this is what I can try to do to help these two wonderful charities.  Besides that it keeps me sane and it's my attempt at making something out of such a horrendous situation.

I will be listing a HUGE selection of Stampin' Up, Peachy Keen Stamps,K& Company and much much more. A lot of wonderful people donated some fantastic items for my charity auctions and for that I can never repay them.  Please note that 100% of the sale will go to charity. I don't make any money of this and any fees incurred comes out of my own pocket. Mission Fish takes the money directly from my account so I never see the money.

There are a lot of wonderful things up for grabs...please remember that this is for charity and not for self gain.  I will gladly combine as many items as possible into whatever flat rate envelope/box I can get it into if you purchase multiple auctions. For shipping, I have several options listed so pick whichever suits you (cheapest or fastest etc.)'.

This brave lady deserves all the support we can give her.
Her courage and fortitude beggar belief!!
She works tirelessly for this charity and I hope you can support her too by looking at her auction and maybe put in a bid for one or more of the fabulous items she has up for grabs?

Thank you so much for reading through this message.

Peachy Keen Challenge #39!

We have something different for you this week ladies. ...... We want you to WRAP IT UP!!

'Create elements used in wrapping a gift.
Ideas for elements are: tags, gift wrap, gift card holders, and note cards'.

(I'm sure you'll think up lots more being the creative people that you are)!
We have a very talented guest designer for this challenge..
Lauren Brewer!
You really must check out her adorable projects!!

Well! Most of us, quite independently, decided on a Christmas theme for this challenge.
Emma and Nikki provided some diversity though, bless 'em!!
Well, my idea of wrapping it up was to make a Bag-a-Lope!!
(There are instructions on SCS and You Tube).
A bag is a wrapper..Right? *Silly grin*.
I'd got a packet of the right kind of envelope, so decided that another bit of ' Paper Engineering'
was in order.

These Snowmen are my absolute favourite and I just LOVE colouring them!!
They are from the set PK-329, 'Chill baby Chill'.
(This is going to get a lot of use in the next few weeks)!!

You can't see it on this photo, but I tore a piece of card into 'hills' and sponged Brilliance Sky Blue over the tops. This created a bit of a landscape that I covered in Martha Stewart Chunky Glitter.
I used Glamour Dust on the top of their hats and their buttons.
I also used it for my snowflake. The 'snow' is made with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.
I 'shmoozed' around the front of the bag with the Brilliance Sky Blue ink and added the large snowflake on the top. The cute face is from the set PK-543 'Snow Bitty Faces'.

Please visit the Peachy Keen Challenge blog and see the treats that my friends on the DT have come up with!
We hope you'll play along too of course! There is always a fantastic prize on offer and you know you have to be in it to win it!

Have a great week!

It's a blue Christmas

I've made a (very late) start on my Christmas cards, but you know what they say, 'better late than never'.
In a way, I do have a head start. I made some cards last year, but Mum died on 9th December, so Christmas was kind of cancelled here. Well, Mum always said she didn't like waste, so the cards I never sent last year, will top me up this year. (She would be pleased).

I finally got a Stampin'Up set that I've been ogling for AGES...Season of Joy!
I just LOVE this set and can't imagine why I haven't bought it sooner.

Please say hello to the first of many using this set.
I stamped the images with Brilliance Sky Blue and Ice Blue ink and added some Glamour Dust to the trees.
The 'snow' is courtesy of a Sizzix  CUTTLEBUG embossing folder.
I'm entering this card into a challenge over at Cute Card Thursday.
The challenge is 'make your own'.
Use embellishments you have made yourself....
You can use punches, stamps, paper and material to make your own, but nothing shop bought.
My take on it is the ribbon detail. (I hope it qualifies, 'coz I made the bow myself).

Have a great day everyone!

A card or two....

Hi everyone!!
Here are some cards that I made at different intervals over the last couple of weeks and kept forgetting to put on here. Duh!
Plus a birthday card for my son Paul that I couldn't show before today,
as it's his birthday (and a wedding card 'coz they only got married yesterday)..

Here we are...
The sentiments were from Elzibells and  Dovecraft.
The image, (coloured as usual with Copics), is by Pollycraft and is called 'Ronnie relaxing'.
(Actually, something that Paul rarely does)!

The next two, are cards I made while staying with my fabulous friend Issy down in Hampshire last month.

The cutting and embossing is courtesy of Nellie Snellen on in this easel card.
The gorgeous stamp belongs to Issy and is a LOTV Christmas stamp,  'All wrapped Up' .

This sweet stamp is by Papermania. it's called 'Football Mad'.
Isn't he CUTE!!!
(Both cards were, as usual, coloured with Copics).

Last but by no means least, is a wedding card for my lovely pals, Magz & Geoff.
I cased this card off SCS.....HERE! Thank you Tilly!!!

I LOVE how this turned out!!!

I'm like buses, nothing for ages then four come at once!!! LOL
Hope everyone has had a great weekend and looking forward to a new week.

Peachy Keen Challenge #38

Something a little different for our challenge this week folks.....
We want you to create something using this criteria......

Fall/Autumn is in full swing, and using the month of October an inspiration,
create a layout or project based on the season and use PEACHY KEEN stamps.
The only catch is that it can't be a card!

This leaves your theme wide open to Autumn,
 Halloween, or Harvest Elements,
(note, since it's October
a Thanksgiving feast scene wouldn't really work for this challenge,
but gourds, pumpkins, etc. would be appropriate!)

Well, as I'm playing with the new stamp sets that were launched yesterday on the blog hop,
I thought again of Halloween. Hmmm...not a card! Oooer!! More paper engineering!!
I searched the web for inspiration and found THIS
A Martha Stewart template to make a coffin treat box....Ta-Da!!

I tried to make it look as if Frank had dug up through the floor of the coffin.

I just HAD to use my PK-643 'Frankly' stamp set again. He's SO cute!!
Frank was coloured with Copics and the coffin was made with papers from a kit by Echo Park,
that I grabbed at the Ally Pally craft show on the 25th September.

This was great fun and I must admit, I do like a bit of paper engineering and I'm getting better at it I think.
For some more fun and to feast your eyes on the wonderful samples created by my fellow DT friends,
please go along the the Peachy Keen blog. Play along with us for a chance to win a smashing prize.
You have until Sunday 17th October to enter.

Have a great week!!!

To be in with a chance of winning 'Frankly', please leave a comment in my previous post HERE.
It will stay open until midnight Sunday 3rd October GMT. (Approximately 6pm CDT).
Just to remind you, that PEACHY KEEN is in the middle of a SMASHER of a sale at the moment.
Run on over there and check it out and grab some discount!!

OK, I've loved the new release to bits and have been playing with another of these fabulous sets..
I will make a house at some point, but saw this tute by the amazingly talented Terrie Bailey.
It's similar to my treat box that I made for the previous release,
but this made with an ordinary envelope!! Easy Peezy!!!

The spider paper is 'Spooky Doodles' from Pink Petticoat.
I put some lollies in the bag in the first picture, then added holes to the tags and threaded some ribbon through on the second image 'coz I forgot on the first one!! Duh! LOL

If you haven't done the Blog Hop yet, there's still time, as there are prizes on every blog along the way.
Start HERE if you want a chance to win one of the fantastic new releases!!! GOOD LUCK!!
