I am an idiot!!! Made this sample yesterday evening for the latest Peachy Keen challenge, but didn't pay proper attention to the sketch. I used the wrong one!
The original just called for 3 snowflakes anywhere on the card. The NEW one called for purple, blue and THEN three snowflakes. DUH!!! I didn't notice my boo boo until I was ready to post it on here!
A bit of quick thinking was required as I'm in a big fat rush (which I will tell you about hopefully, this afternoon).
SO! I sponged some purple onto the already dark blue sky to make it dramatic. Then I added blue to the ground and the snowman. Voila!
It's a bit of a liberty, but it fits the bill. I LOVE this snowman and wasn't about to ditch him! Ha Ha.
I must rush, but I'll be back later hopefully with all the news of our holiday and any other news that happens along.

Oh Viv this is beautiful...a wise girl once told me "There are no mistakes when it is handmade"...that wise girl was 8 years old! What tree stamp did you use?

Fab card. I really love your new style that's been around for a little bit. Maybe you don't even know you have a new style--but it's great! Wouldn't even know your mistake if you didn't point it out, but isn't that purple in the sky awesome? You learned something cool from your mistake, and taught me something too. I spent the morning colouring and find it so relaxing.

This is just beautiful, Viv! I love your red with the white contrast! STUNNING! Your color is gorgeous, as always, and I love the edge. I'd better go back and read, because I can't tell if you handstitched, or used a pen. Either way, it's a wonderful accent!
