Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge

I love Mercy's sketches, so wasn't about to let her new Tuesday Sketch challenge go ahead without me having a bash!

SU DP. (No idea what the pattern is).
A Fiskars border punch.
Ribbon from stash.
White linen CS.
Sentiment is a stamp by Inkadinkado.
Brads from Papermania. Sorted!
I re-worked this three times! Finally happy with it now.

I've been busy this week, hence not many cards. If it's not going to Mum's, waiting for workmen for my youngest, it''s helping my eldest decorate his house ready for him and his partner to move in to. It's all getting very exciting now. They will be moving in next week, so I'd better get on with a new home card for them next!!

Right, I'm off to find another challenge while I have a bit of spare time.

Thanks for popping in, you know I appreciate it.

Did you guess right?

Did you guess? It's a diaper fold pouch that I've used for my Peachy Keen sample this week.

The challenge this week is to use a face on your project. You can make whatever you like as long as it has a PK face on it.
I've used the face from my Peachy Keen 'Potted Happy Flower set', and the strawberry(s) from the set, 'Faceless Fruit'. I love that set and shall be playing with it a LOT!
The pouch is made with a piece of SU paper, cut to 8"x 8". I think It's from 'Time for Tea'.
I got the instructions off SCS, here, with thanks to Beate Johns for providing them.
I coloured my gorgeous strawberries with Promarkers and clear embossed them.
Shredded some handmade paper, placed it inside and added my little strawberry sweets.
I thought these would make perfect party favours.

Why don't you pop on over to the Peachy Keen challenge blog and play along with our challenges? While you're there , have a look at the creations by the other DT members.
You won't be disappointed!

AND!!! You should take a peek at the prize!!! The more entrants, the bigger the value of the prize! It's basically, the sky's the limit!!! PHOAR!!!!

Thanks for popping in, it's always nice to have you visit.

One I can never spell!

FUCHSIA! Grrr! I have to type it in Word, then wait for the red squiggly line to tell me I've spelt it wrong, and then show me up by spelling it correctly. Ho hum.

Well here is my fyoosha! Ha Ha!!! I coloured it from memory with Promarkers and the stamp is by Creative Expressions.

Can't seem to stop colouring flowers lately! Lovin' it!

This was the one and only card I made yesterday at our get-together at Pauline's house.
What a fab day we all had too. Got there at mid day and got home 12 hours later!
Very tired but who cares! What fab company are those girls! We had a GREAT time!
Pauline's hubby Rob, made tea all day long bless him and Pauline put on a fantastic spread.
(Think Sandra provided the Scones, clotted cream and freash strawberries). ;0)
SCRUMMY!!!

I've also got a sneaky peek for you!
Tomorrow is challenge day on the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog and I've done something a tad different from usual for my DT sample.

Can you guess what it is?

Call back tomorrow to find out! Hee Hee . Viv xxx

Birthday Pansies

I liked the other Pansy card so much, I made another for my good friend Val, for her 65th birthday. Hope you had a brill day Val!!!
I made this over a week ago, but couldn't show it until she received it.
Coloured with Copics and mounted on Bazzil CS with SU paper across the lower half.
I scored the Bazzil to give the top half a bit of texture.
This card also qualifies for the Copic Creations challenge..Botanicals.
I know I've entered the blue Pansies, but I like this one too.

Well, I'm off to Derby tomorrow to meet up with friends for a nattering and crafting day.
We haven't seen each other since we went away the 1st week of June!!
Pam, my best mate, has had major health problems and is only now fit enough to take on a longish journey. It takes us approx 1½hrs to drive there, but it's SO worth it!
The car could practically get there on autopilot the amount of times we've been! LOL

Well, I'd better get my hold-all packed, or I'll be panicking in the morning!

Thanks for your visit. You know I appreciate it! ;0)

SASSC25

Here's my latest card for the Stamps and Smiles challenge on The Fresh Batch sketch blog.
I love these shades of pink and Cuppy is ideal for using them.
I've used Cuppy from the set 'Cuppy Love'. So appropriate for the sketch I thought.
She's coloured with Copics and layered on Bazzil CS.
The DP is Basic Grey. The heart was cut with my Sizzix double heart die and the ribbon and pearls are from my stash.

I hope you play along with us. I love seeing what everyone comes up with. You all do such amazing things with the fabulous sketches Mercy draws.

Who knows! you could win the goodie bag if you enter before next week's challenge.
There is no time limit, (except, as I said, for a chance of the prize), so, dip your toe in the water and play along with us.
You don't have to have SAS stamps to play along, it's great if you do, but not vital.

Have a fab Thursday peeps and thanks for stopping by! Viv xxx

Peachy Keen Challenge #5

Happy Tuesday everyone!!
Here's my latest sample for the Peachy Keen challenge blog.
I've used the 'Bee Happy' set from the Peachy Keen store.
Isn't that Bumble Bee cute!
I've coloured him with Copics and mounted him on Nestability circles.
The sentiment is from the Bee Happy set too.
The strip of DP is from SU.
The base card is Bazzil as usual and the flowers and pearls are from my stash.

I do hope you'll pop on over to the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog for all the details and join in the fun.
There are great prizes to be won and you'll get to see the fabulous creations by the other DT members.
You don't have to have PK stamps to play. (It'd be nice, but it's not essential).
So, grab your stash and play along! I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

Thanks for visiting me today. You know how much I appreciate it!

Have a happy Tuesday! Viv xx

I've got an award!

This award was given to me by the sweet and wonderfully talented Sonia from Scraps 4 Fun.
(Go along to her blog and you'll see for yourself).
I'm thrilled and delighted and my head has swollen such a lot. LOL
I'm supposed to pass this along to 10 other deserving bloggers.
Well, the most deserving bloggers to me, are those who visit my blog and as you are here reading this, you are one of them, so please take this award with my blessing.
Sonia, you've made my day girl!!!!

Meet Burt and family.......

Awwww bless. I love this digi image from Tinker & Co.
Isn't it sweet?

Took a break from stripping the loo wallpaper off to make this.
(Naughty Viv)! LOL

I coloured Burt and his family with Promarkers.
Mounted the picture on SU DP and then onto Bazzil Bling CS.
I used my Nestability die for the frames with ribbon from my stash.

Hope you enjoyed your visit. Please call back soon. Viv xxx

Copic Creations # 8 Botanicals

As the name suggests, the challenge this time on Copic Creations, is Botanicals.
I've used a lovely stamp that hasn't seen the light of day in a log time.
I have no idea who manufactured it. There isn't a name on it anywhere.
(Can't even remember where I bought it)!

I have an extra special reason for making sure I enter this one!
Flourishes are sponsoring it and I have drooled over the Strawberry set for ages.
I've drooled over MOST of their stamps actually) and this is an outside chance of me getting my mitts on it.

I've coloured it with Copics,
(not much point in entering the challenge if I hadn't is there)?LOL
Cut round it and popped it with silicone and placed it on a Top Note diecut..
I embossed the CS with my Sizzix embossing folder. Love those titchy flowers.
Base card is white linen.
ribbon from my stash threaded through a Nestie label diecut.
Brilliant set. (Don't need the SU word window punch now).

Thanks for your visit, you're always welcome and I'd love it if you left me a comment.

SASSC24 meets Christmas!

I'm getting into Christmas card mode bit by bit, so when I was looking at my stamps, the house reminded me of a storybook village in the snow. So I stamped my houses to look a bit like they are all lit up snug and warm, with the 'snow' falling and glistening on the rooftops.

Recipe: Houses - Stamps and Smiles 'Cuppy Land'
Embossing - Cuttlebug Swiss Dots
Colouring - Copics
'Wreath' - McGill punch, 'Pine'
DP - SU
Stamp - Dovecraft

Please swing on by The Fresh Batch blog to see the amazing creations by the other DT members and all the details for playing along with us.
You ARE going to play along, aren't you? Yeah, you know you want to!

If you play along and get your entry in before the deadline, you will be entered into a draw to win a goodie bag off Jennifer.
Of course, there is no time limit, so play along as and when you want to.
You don't have to have SAS stamps to join in. Grab your stash and have some fun!
If you upload your card to SCS, please use the keyword, 'stampsandsmiles'.

Good luck and thanks for dropping in.

I'd love it if you left me a comment so I know you've passed this way on your travels.

Peachy Keen Challenge #4

Wow, it doesn't seem five minutes since I did my cute little snowman and we're on to
Challenge number 4!!!!

Here's my sample for the sketch.

The challenge is to use three buttons, stripes and a greeting on a DL card.
Please pop over to the Peachy Keen challenge blog for all the details, the sketch and to have a look at the sample cards made by the other VERY talented DT members.
You don't have to have Peachy Keen stamps to play, it would be nice, but it's not obligatory.

I've used the potted sunflower from the 'Potted Happy Flower' set for this card.
I had intended using the actual watering can from the set, but I found these buttons and well, I HAD to use them, didn't I!!
I used Glamour dust as 'water' from the watering can pouring over the sunflower.

I paper pieced the flower pot with the same striped paper from my stash. I think it's Papermania, but couldn't swear to it.
SU oval punches for the greeting and coloured with Copics.

Hope you like it as much I liked making it. Have a great Tuesday!!! Viv xxx

A Man's card

This card got made this way because of the spare piece of green card.
I'd used it to punch some leaves out and whilst rooting around on my messy table, came across it again.
I just thought it would look really good as a 'stencil' type thingly. You know what I mean.
The image is from 'For Father' by SU. I LOVE that set. It's perfect for men's cards.
Coloured as usual with Copics.
Pulled some threads from the large piece of hessian I bought somewhere and tied them round the card.
I made a little tag with Core-dinations CS. Ran it through my Big Shot in a 'Bark' Cuttlebug folder. Used my sanding block to define it.
I put a Papermania metal disc on it with his first initial on.
(Forgot to take a picture of the inside and I've posted it now, so can't).

Well I think that's enough from me today.

Thanks for calling in. Love your visits, so please come again soon.

Passion for Promarkers wk 7

The challenge this week is to use Cocoa and cornflower AND there was a sketch to follow too!
SNEAKY!!! (LOVE sketches though).
As well as the cocoa and cornflower, I used, Terracotta, Cinnamon and Rose Pink.
CS is from my stash and matched a treat, embossed with my trusty Swiss Dots embossing folder.
Flourishes from my EK Success punch and the three labels are from a Nestability set.
The words are from Stamps ans Smiles' Happy Birthday cupcake.
(I cut between the words so I can arrange them to suit).
Starting to love my Promarkers as much as my Copics now!

Have a fabulous weekend and thanks for stopping by! Viv xxx

SASSC23! How daft am I!!!

I was sitting here at my craft table, playing away, not a care in the world when (eventually) it dawned on me that it is NOT Wednesday, but THURSDAY! ARGHHH!!!!
Me Stamps and Smiles sample wasn't done!! I thought I had all the time in the world. NAH!

So, at last, made in a hurry, by an idiot that doesn't know what day of the week it is, ..... is my Stamps and Smiles sample card for SASSC23.

Recipe:
CS is Bazzil, (as usual).
Birthday cakes from 'Happy Birthday Cupcake', coloured with Copics
Nestabilities
Glamour Dust for frosting.
Ribbon and metal greeting from stash.

It looks a bit Scandinavian with those colours, don't you think?

Please bob on over to the Fresh Batch blog to catch up on all the gorgeous cards the other DT members have created (on time)!!

Join in if you can, you will be in with a chance of winning a goody bag off Jennifer, the owner of SAS.
All the deets are on the SAS blog.

You don't have to have SAS stamps to play and there's no time limit. But if you want that goody bag, you will need to upload your project to Mr. Linky before next Thursday. ;0)

Have a brilliant weekend, when it finally gets here!

Peachy Keen Challenge No. 3

I love this sketch. I imagined my card, the minute I saw it.
LOVE these Peachy Keen snowmen stamps. This one is part of a bundle, on offer, with 20% off 'till midnight Friday. (They are also available individually).

This happy chappy is PK-303A, sliding down on his inner tube. Isn't he CUTE!

I coloured him with Copics and added a touch of Glamour Dust on his hat and the shine on his inner tube.
The base card is Bazzil and the DP is from SU.
The ribbon is from my stash and the 'snowballs' are chalking balls (for use with the tool that comes with chalk sets).
Pop on over to the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog to see the other DT members' gorgeous samples and we do hope you'll play along with us.

Have a happy Tuesday and thanks for your visit. Viv xxx

Copic Buzz Challenge No. 3 Basic Blue Jeans

The Copic Buzz Challenge this week is, as my title states, basic blue jeans.
I can't think of a better stamp to play with for this challenge, than 'Daisy'.
She's a Sugar Nellie stamp.
I coloured her, as you might have gathered, with me trusty Copics.
Didn't use me trusty brain though, 'coz I forgot to take note of the colours I used!

The base card is Bazzil Bling, and the papers are SU. Daisy is sitting on a Top Note die cut.
Got it from the US, couldn't wait forever for the UK to catch up, wanted it NOW!
The leaves are from a Leone EM punch. and the Prima flowers are from my stash.
The sentiment is from Stamps and Smiles 'Happy Birthday 'Cupcake'.
I love Daisy and will be inking her up a lot.

Hope your having a wonderful 4th July celebration 'over there' and hope you've had a lovely 'normal' day, 'over here'.
Always pleased to see you and hope you can spare another minute or two to leave me a comment before you carry on your journey round blog-land. ;0)

Is this a Christmas card?

Didn't make it with the intention of it being one, but the more I look at it..........hmmm.

I did it for the Dutch Dare Card Challenge.
I saw the sketch on someone's blog and it stuck in my mind.

The image is a stamp I bought at Sir Stampalot on the way to Norfolk in June.
It's by Penny Black and is called 'Fantasy'. It's the first time I've used it!
The papers are SU designer series papers. Love those dark blues. Very dramatic.
Don't use this colour often enough. Must try harder.

The gorgeous lace was given to me by Tina. She has an amazing blog.
Give her a visit, you won't be disappointed!
This is the first piece I've used. It's too gorgeous!
The sentiment is from Stamps and Smiles 'Happy Birthday Cupcake'.

Do you reckon it could be a Christmas card? Let me know what you think.

Have a fabulous weekend!!! Viv xxx

I seem to have a mystery problem

Has anyone had a problem with blogs lately. You know, scrolling down them and then all of a sudden, it freezes and refuses to work.
Internet Explorer of even Fire Fox telling you that it's not responding?
I've realised that it only seems to happen on blogs with a music player!!!

I've found only one cure!!! I've taken mine off and now have no problems.
Do you think the music industry has done something to sabotage the music players?
Whatever the reason, I've lost my lovely music....for now!

Thanks for listening. Viv xx
