I did a card!!

Whoo Hoo!!! Harvey is settling in so well, I can make cards again!!!

This was a happy accident!

Core-dinations CS. (VERY similar to Bazzil but with a co-ordinating paler colour inside, so that when it's sanded, a similar colour comes through). It's cheaper than Bazzil too!! :0)Brenda Walton 6"x6" DP is adhered to the inside back of the card. I placed two eyelets near the top to co-ordinate with the ribbon running down the front of the card and threaded the same ribbon through. I made the holes for the ribbon using my Crop-A-Dile and 'waved' the edges with my Rotatrim. I stamped and cut out one of the flowers from the set given to me by Jennifer. Added a small stamped sentiment in the bottom right hand corner, but I might change it, not too happy with it, it looks 'lost'.

Well, off to my bed shortly as it's an early start in the morning for Derby and the Derby Dabbler's stamping day!!

Have a great Sunday!!! ;0)

Happy Saturday!

Well it is for me! Paul called in this morning with two of my grandsons, Eric and Oscar.

The youngest, Oscar, brought his brand new Thomas the Tank Engine roller skates!!!

He's only 3!!!!! Awwww bless him. Ha Ha. They are sooo CUTE! (Wish I'd taken a photograph now, Grrrr).

Anyway, when they were leaving, for the first time EVER..... he said 'kiss Nanna'!!

I always had to ask for a kiss and all I'd get was a very polite 'no'. ;0(

I was in tears!!! So was Paul! He said that's the first time ever, he's offered a kiss in this way.

*gulp*.

And THEN, he opened his arms and said 'hug Nanna'. Weeell, I was blown away! (Almost sobbing by this time). LOL

So, I'm a happy Nanna this morning thanks to Oscar!

On a different note.... I thought I'd share a little something with you all today, a bit different from the norm.

VERY homespun, but servicable.

The stamp club I belong to, the Derby Dabblers, asks peeps to bring a name badge with them.

Only one or two had one and for a bit of fun, I made one.......

I got orders for 18!!!!! Think they must have liked 'em. ;0)

They are just stamped, watercoloured, punched out, laminated and voila!

As I say, a bit homespun, but that's the fun of them.

I still need to punch two holes yet for a lace, or ribbon or maybe a safety pin.

That's where I'll be, all day tomorrow. Can't wait. I love spending the day at the Dabblers..crafting and meeting up with great friends.... perfect!

Back soon!

Flipping heck!!!.....

It's Friday already!!!! ;O Where HAS the week gone?

I've managed ONE card that was a sketch challenge on a forum
(and that wasn't until last night)!!
I used Basic Grey DP over Bazzil CS. Stamped sentiment from SU set I got from Jennifer
(Thank you SO much Jen)! The buttons and flower and the brad
are out of a PM embellishments kit.
I want to start playing with the SU stuff I got from Pam's and Tracey's parties too.
I've ogled it long enough now and want to play with it. LOL
I will be having a SU party myself in October. I'm so looking forward to it.
Have a terrific weekend everyone! Saying it now,
in case Harvey stops me getting on here to 'talk' to you all again! LOL

Happy Monday!!

It IS a happy Monday because I've hit on the idea of bringing the dog's bed upstairs and placing it on the landing, opposite where I sit in my craft room.

That way, he can rest in his bed and still see me. It also means that I can get on with 'playing' while he is dozing! Perfect!

Alan is going to buy him another bed so he has one upstairs and one downstairs.

The dog's RUINED!! LOL

Anyway, here's a card I've made for Suzanne's blog challenge.

It's got to be pink and brown, so, to ease me back into cardmaking and challenges, I've picked hers.

Now to find another to do!

Hello Everyone!!!!

Hi everyone!!!
I'm back! Don't know if I'll be able to devote as much time as usual for a while, as Harvey isn't house trained properly yet and I have to keep a beady eye on him.
(He IS improving though.

I have managed to get another photo or two to show you he's doing well but hasn't grown an inch in a month!!! LOL Here you are!......

(The black specks are bits of toy he's chewed up)

Here's one where he's trying to attack Smokey, one of my cats.

No chance!!! He's very tolerant of Harvey though, unlike my other cat. SHE hates him! LOL

I've managed to make a card today too, using most of the lovely SU stamps so generously gifted to me by Jennifer. Hope you like it. ;0)

I managed to make seven cards in one day when Pam came over, (to stop me from going mad while Alan was on his trip to Gibralter).
I reckon that's some kind of record. (I'll post them tomorrow).
I can't WAIT to catch up with all the lovely creations that you've all been doing while I've been AWOL and I'm raring to go for a challenge or two now.
Well that'll do from me for tonight. Take care, thanks for all your messages and I can't wait to hear from you all again. Viv xxx
