Peachy Keen Challenge #38

Something a little different for our challenge this week folks.....
We want you to create something using this criteria......

Fall/Autumn is in full swing, and using the month of October an inspiration,
create a layout or project based on the season and use PEACHY KEEN stamps.
The only catch is that it can't be a card!

This leaves your theme wide open to Autumn,
 Halloween, or Harvest Elements,
(note, since it's October
a Thanksgiving feast scene wouldn't really work for this challenge,
but gourds, pumpkins, etc. would be appropriate!)

Well, as I'm playing with the new stamp sets that were launched yesterday on the blog hop,
I thought again of Halloween. Hmmm...not a card! Oooer!! More paper engineering!!
I searched the web for inspiration and found THIS
A Martha Stewart template to make a coffin treat box....Ta-Da!!

I tried to make it look as if Frank had dug up through the floor of the coffin.

I just HAD to use my PK-643 'Frankly' stamp set again. He's SO cute!!
Frank was coloured with Copics and the coffin was made with papers from a kit by Echo Park,
that I grabbed at the Ally Pally craft show on the 25th September.

This was great fun and I must admit, I do like a bit of paper engineering and I'm getting better at it I think.
For some more fun and to feast your eyes on the wonderful samples created by my fellow DT friends,
please go along the the Peachy Keen blog. Play along with us for a chance to win a smashing prize.
You have until Sunday 17th October to enter.

Have a great week!!!

Peachy Keen September Blog Hop is HERE!!!

I'm SO excited!!! Just WAIT 'till you see all the goodies on offer for you today and all this week!!!
I can at last reveal my card that has been under wraps all week, just waiting to show itself to you.
I have it in three different poses to show you all the details.

 This is the front closed.......

The front opened ......

And the inside.........

Here is the delightful set I used for my card.....

PK-634..'Frankly'

I scanned 'Frank and reversed him in Publisher.
Scanner wouldn't play ball for the tombstone, so I had to improvise.
I stamped two tombstones on grey card and drew the ridges and cracks on the back of one of them.
Other than that, it was a doddle.
Do you remember the tease I gave you?
'Back to Front'. Did you guess? I had 'Franky' and the tombstone back to front on my card.

 THIS SET COULD BE YOURS!!!!
Our fabulous Queen Peach has given us all one set to give away as blog hop candy.
To be in with a chance of winning this gorgeous set, become a follower

Peachy Keen Challenge #37 and news of our next blog hop!!

OK, I've gone and done a Halloween card again. Don't shout at me!
I couldn't resist using some fabulous Halloween papers that my friend Heidi of the PK design team sent me when she heard we are a bit Halloween paper poor over here.
Bless her! It's just fabulous paper and I want LOADS of it, 'coz I'm really enjoying all the Halloween cards and projects I'm doing. AND!!!! There's MORE.......
'coz I've just today, received the latest PK stamp release and you are going to LOVE it!!
I'm SO excited and can't wait to show you!!!
But for now, here's my sample for the Peachy Keen Challenge #37, which is a sketch.

There's only one rule,
you must use Kraft Cardstock somewhere on your project.......

Isn't my little Candy Corn creature just PERFECT for this paper!!!

The paper, as mentioned before is a gift from Heidi. I've found it!!
It's by K& Company......Tim Coffey's Halloween.
I've had SO many wonderful gifts from my fabulous PK family. I don't know how I can even start repaying their support and kindness after my brush with breast cancer.

OK! Back to the card. I coloured my adorable candy corn with Copics and the spider web band across the image was hand-drawn with white gel pen..
I don't have a cob-web stamp. Anyone know where I can get one?
That fabulous creepy bat is from the set PK-630, 'Nikkity Knack Cat Gang'.

We have an amazing Guest Designer with us this week. Mrs B!!! AKA Cindy Burgess!
You must stop by her blog and see her fabulous cards and projects!
Now, hop on over to the PK challenge blog and feast your eyes on all the fabulous samples created by my amazing friends on the DT. Then, gather all the details and play along!!!
As always, there is a fantastic prize on offer. The deadline is Sunday 3rd October.
Good luck everyone!!!!

 The next PK Blog hop!!!!
Starting on Thursday 26th through to Wed. 29th,  the DT will be showing sneak peeks of the newest stamp release. You are going to be DEE-LIGHTED!!!
The blog hop starts on Thursday 30th September.
I will have a super prize for you and there will be a fabulous prize on every DT member's blog and of course, the Peachy Keen blog.
See you there!!!!

Peachy Keen Challenge #36

Hello my friends!! Today, we have another combo for you.
A sketch and colour combo.

 Your sketch....

 Your colours

My card...
( I'm having a break from Halloween this week).
I used one of my favourite sets, 'Vivienne and Friends'.
(It's not everyone who gets a whole stamp set named after 'em is it)!

Fell free to rotate/flip the sketch. (If you don't have the exact colours, the nearest you have will be fine).
you don't have to have a Peachy Keen stamp to play along. It would be nice, but it's not compulsory.

The challenge ends at midnight on 19th Sept. CST in the US, (6am Monday morning here in the UK).
If you're not sure, there is a clock for both time zones on my sidebar.
There is a SUPER PRIZE on offer for the lucky winner....

A SET OF COPIC SPICA PENS and a MEMENTO TUXEDO BLACK INK PAD!!!

I'm sure you will rock this challenge...you usually do! Can't wait to see what you create with this combination. Please take a look at the DT samples over on the PK challenge blog, they are, as usual, MEGA amazing!!!!

Have fun!!!

Peachy Keen Blog hop project #2

Hi everyone! WOW!! What a response yesterday to the PK blog hop!! You all amaze me!
Thank you to all the new followers too! I really appreciate your company.
As promised yesterday, here's another card I made with one of the new releases available now at the Peachy Keen store..............  PK-630..Nikkity Knack Cat Gang............

The papers and the tickets are by Scrap Girls. I hand drew the spider's web.
All other elements are from the stamp set.
My cute ghosts are coloured with Copics and the fence is courtesy of a Martha Stewart punch.

Please call again tomorrow for another project made with these fabulous sets!!
(The next one is not a card)..........Here's a sneak peek....

Any ideas? Hee Hee! Bet you do!

Peachy Keen Challenge #35

Whey Hey!!This time we have a sketch AND inspiration from the colours IN the sketch.

Here's your challenge should you choose to accept it!........Of COURSE you will.

Here's my take on it........................
Now I'll admit it had me stumped for a while, but it wouldn't be much of a challenge without a bit of head scratching, would it?
I thought I had to use the colours as is, but when I read the remit again, I realised they were a guide, NOT to be used literally. Figuring THAT out, I proceeded to make my card quite happily. LOL Doh!
Here is the wording........'Use the sketch and colour combo for inspiration for your layout or card'.
As you can see, I used the colours in the sketch, but I didn't follow them blindly.
(Actually, looking at it now, it looks a bit Swedish, don't-cha think)? Hmmm, I think it's the ribbon!

I used my fabulous 'Happy Bird and phrases', with the sentiment curved to match the Nestie.
It was easy to curve the sentiment 'coz the acrylic stamps are super quality and can stand being 'abused' by me!! Anyway, onwards Viv.

I coloured my delightful Blue bird with Copics and the DP is from SU!.
All the rest is stash stuff. Considering I was totally intimidated by the sketch at first, I quite like my card and think it works a treat.

Well my good blogging friends, I hope you liked it too and if so, you are going to LOVE the samples done by my fabulous friends on the Peachy Keen DT!! Pop on over to the Peachy Keen blog and feast your eyes......
and while you are there, think about the card /project YOU are going to make with the sketch!

We will be choosing ONE judged winner
who will receive a
$30 Gift Certificate to use at
PEACHY KEEN STAMPS!
(I pinched that blurb from the PK blog)! Shhh

you have to be in it to win it. Not only THAT....... This week, we have a Guest Designer for you! She is amazing!!!! You are going to love her creations!
She is none other than KIM, from Paper Punch Addiction! (You have to see her punched creations to believe them)!!

Well, I think I'm starting to repeat myself, so I'll shut up now. Ha Ha!!
Have a great week!!!

Peachy Keen Challenge #13

I am an idiot!!! Made this sample yesterday evening for the latest Peachy Keen challenge, but didn't pay proper attention to the sketch. I used the wrong one!
The original just called for 3 snowflakes anywhere on the card. The NEW one called for purple, blue and  THEN three snowflakes. DUH!!! I didn't notice my boo boo until I was ready to post it on here!
A bit of quick thinking was required as I'm in a big fat rush (which I will tell you about hopefully, this afternoon).
SO! I sponged some purple onto the already dark blue sky to make it dramatic. Then I added blue to the ground and the snowman. Voila!
It's a bit of a liberty, but it fits the bill. I LOVE this snowman and wasn't about to ditch him! Ha Ha.

I must rush, but I'll be back later hopefully with all the news of our holiday and any other news that happens along.

So why not pop on over to Peachy Keen and see the other DT member's fabulous samples!
