We have some delightful projects for you.
Here's two of mine...
My darling puppy and sentiment are from the August release, PKSC-20
The cloud background was created using PK-107
I used Flower soft Vintage Christmas mixed with Burgundy for the puppy food.
I thought it looked a little like crumbed up fruit cake).

For this card, I used the Flower Soft  Peony Pink as a bouquet to take to the poorly puppy,
who is a little green around the gills.
(Flower Soft is amazing as it's good for single stems, bouquets, 'grass', texture on critters, the list is endless)!
I used PKSC-20 again for these cute critters.
(Amazing how different they look with different stamped faces)!
I coloured the Kitty and the Puppy with Copics.

I hope you enjoyed my two cards.
Your next stop is the amazingly talented  AMY.
Here is a list of the participants just in case you get a little lost along the way.
Remember!! You need to comment on each post for a chance to win those awesome prizes!!!

Happy hopping and good luck!!

Wedding cards and news!

It's August Bank Holiday Monday here and for once, the weather is glorious!
I hope the weather is treating you kindly too.

It was FAIRLY kind to the couple these card were for, last Saturday.
Dull, but the rain held off thankfully.

I was asked to make two cards for the wedding.
The flower was so high, I had to make a box-elope to fit the card in!
I'm so pleased I got a chance to use that lovely Hessian.
(I just wish I could remember where on earth I got it from)!! Awww
It kind od speaks for itself, so no need for too many ingredients.
I can never remember the names of most of my stash anyway!
Must try harder to label stuff.

Here's the second one, not so fancy...
CAS! LOVE this!
CASED a card I found on Pinterest.
THIS is the original. (You'll need to scroll through the cards).

I'll be back on Wednesday with a couple of cards I've made for Peachy Keen using Flower Soft!
We are having a shared blog hop and there'll be a super duper prize involved as usual!

SAVE THE DATE!!!!
 See you there!!

Sympathy card

Hya friends!
It's been one of those weeks this week! (I seem to be having a few of those lately)!
Time has just got the better of me again!
Ah well. Last minute .com is my middle name.

Are you ready for another Friday Challenge with us at Peachy Keen?
Of course you are!
Now this one isn't easy, sympathy cards never are, are they!
They ARE necessary though.

Here's the deets of this week's challenge.....

THE CHALLENGE
Create a card using a sympathy theme.
We'll be awarding "TOP PEACH" to the player who uses their Peachy Keen Stamps this week and  our two runner ups will receive a spiffy badge to display on their blog!
Guidelines:
- Design must be new
                 - Link up by 8/28 - 11:59 pm EST

There ya go! Nothing to it!

Here's a card I made for the challenge...
I tried something different for this card.
I stamped PK-240 'Say it with Flowers' in a kind of arch shape, then cut round them.
I coloured the daisies with Copics.
I embossed the Kraft card base with a Spellbinder's A4 M'Bossabilities folder.
The greeting is from PK-287 'Bawlin' Bunnies'.

Very simple, but then that's what's best for a sympathy card I reckon.
Now, Please pop on over to the Peachy Keen blog, to get all the details of the challenge and see the fab creations some of my DT friends have made.
They always make such amazing cards!! I'm not worthy!
While you're there, why not throw your hat in the ring and join in the challenge!

Have a fabulous weekend when it finally arrives!

Anniversary rose

Phew!!
What a day I had yesterday.
I had 'one of my days' that I get about once every 6 months. I can cope with breast cancer, I can cope with N-H Lymphoma, but ask me to cope with feeling sick and a banging headache and I have to take to my bed!
I'm always as right as rain the next day, thankfully.
And right as rain I am! Yeah!
(I'm good to go for about 6 months now)! LOL

here's a card I made today for two very good friends of mine.
(This proves I feel like my old self again).

Simple, but I think, effective.

The rose is from a Clearly Besottted's stamp set, 'Happy Everything'.
Coloured with Copics and die cut.
(The matching dies are also from Clearly Besotted Stamps).
The sentiment is from a JustRite set 'Large Fancy Sentiments'.
I LOVE that font!
I embossed the base card with a Sizzix EF and as usual,
It's a one of a pair of Sizzix Textured Impressions EFs by Brenda Walton..'Rose vines & Trellis'.
I embossed the card leaving a gap near the bottom. I used the Martha Stewart scoring board to score a line either side of the embossing where the sentiment is stamped.
I've entered this into Stephanie's challenge too.

Job done! Hope you like it.

Thanks for dropping in, it's always good to have you visit me. xxxx

You brighten my day

you ALL brighten my day by your visits.

This card was made with all my fabulous followers and friends in mind....

Now don't faint..but there's not a Copic in sight!! *GASP*
Hee Hee. I CAN survive without using them you see....well, now and again I can.
My gorgeous flower is from Clearly Besotted's 'Blooming Marvellous' and coordinating dies.
I coloured it with SU Wild Wasabi and Rose red.
The sentiment is from another gorgeous set 'Shine Bright'
I inked it with SU Orchid Opulence.
Luckily, I found some little pearls that matched the Orchid Opulence.
I added a small clear gem to the rose to simulate a dew drop.

I'm entering this card in the Clearly Besotted challenge.

Thanks once again for visiting me. I love you calling in and I TRY to return the favour, but I don't always succeed in getting round to everyone.
I DO appreciate you all.

Remember

Hya friends!
I have something completely different for you today.

There are two stamp companies I REALLY love.
Peachy Keen which is like family, and Clearly Besotted, which has become a good friend.

Today I have a Clearly Besotted card.

I LOVE poppies, so I HAD to have this set the minute it came out on Tuesday.
It's called 'Remember'. I assume it's associated with Remembrance Sunday in November.
I kept my first inking simple(ish).
I coloured the poppies with Distress inks..
SHOCK HORROR!!! I didn't use copics! Ha Ha
Well, actually, I did..for the shading.
Haven't watercoloured in YONKS!!
The card was diecut with a Spellbinders Elegant label 4 set.
The sentiment was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black.

That's it for now friends. Thanks so much for dropping by.
 Have a super duper weekend!!!!

Dog DOES love Kitty!

Hi friends,
Today I've got another cute card made from a mixture of the new release stamp sets at Peachy Keen.

I started out making one of the two challenge projects for the August release on
(That's where all things peachy happen).
I ended up with a card that was nothing like either challenge!!!
Do you do that?
Start out with a title and digress totally? Duh!
I'm ALWAYS doing it.

Anyway, her's my digressed card..LOL

The message of the card is, that the cat has jumped up onto the wall
to see that the dog has left a fish bone for him as a gift.
Awww, would've been better with some MEAT on the bones! Ha Ha!
Suppplies:
Die-Namics grass die
Hero arts Chalk ink 'Snow'
TH Distress ink 'Spiced marmalade'
Copics

There's still time to play along with the challenges at the Peachy Keen Connection
and there are two prizes on offer. So why not throw your hat in the ring!
Gotta be a bit of fun if nothing else!

See you soon!
Have a wonderful day.

Not a sneak peek, more a preview!

'Coz i posted my sneak peek yesterday.
BUT!!!
Couldn't resist doing another sneaky one to keep you going until tonight on the Peachy Keen Connection.

Told ya they were cute-tastic didn't I!
Just look the expression on his little face! Awwww! LO
There is a gorgeous kitty in the set too, which I've yet to ink up.L
The gorgeous puppy, sentiment,  bone and kennel (dog house) are all from PKSC-20.
(There is a dog tag, cat tag, dog bowl, can of tuna, a fish skeleton etc).
SOO much to play with!
The 'wallpaper' is from the background stamp PK-1331 and is A2 in size.

(He reminds me little of my little dog Harvey)!

Well, I hope to see you later for the release party.
Fun and games, a quiz or two with prizes. The party lasts for about an hour and then the new stamps will be available straight after in the Peachy Keen Store.

See you at the party!!!

Sneak peeks Day 4!

Hya Peeps!
It's almost THAT time of the month... NOO! Not THAT one! lol
I mean the time that Peachy Keen release a cute-astic new set of stamps for your delectation!
THAT all happens on Monday at 6pm CDT (Midnight to us 'over here').
If you haven't seen any of the previous day's sneak peeks, go feast your eyes at the Peachy Keen Blog.

Here's my card to whet your appetite for all things cute and furry...
 Now, isn't he just ADORABLE!!
He's upset 'coz the cat has unravelled the toilet roll and he's getting the blame! LOL
This little fella is PK-1334 'Howling Puppy'.
He'll be available straight after the release party on the Peachy Keen Ning site,

I coloured my pooch with Copics as usual and mounted the image on Kraft CS.
The patterned paper is made with one of the background stamps PK-1331.
(There's a cat background stamp to go with the cat stamps, PK-1332).

Well, I hope you like my little critter and the 'toilet roll' that got him into trouble.

I'll be back later with another fur baby!

34 years!!!

Yep! 34 years!
That's how long we've been married!
(You get less than that for murder)!! LOL

I made a card for hubby of course. He's not a bad lad really.

I CASED a card from Clearly Besotted's Blog.
(Scroll down a bit).
I don't have the Building Blocks 11 (yet), so improvised.
I used 'Background Builder 111' instead.
I masked a square(ish) panel and stamped inside it.
Not quite as effective, but good enough until I get the Building Blocks.
The banner and heart are from Clearly Besotted and the 'Husband' is from Dove craft.
I coloured the button with a Copic marker, but it streaked, so I ended up with a marble button!
I pulled a thread from a piece of Hessian and threaded it through the button.
Used a ticket punch for the corners and that, as they say, is that.

I also have this card that I made for our next door neighbour's birthday on Wednesday just gone..

It's a variation of my Son's card.
Clearly Besotted stamps used with a touch of white gel pen for the strings.
Simple, but effective and he loved it!

NOW!!!
You HAVE to go to the Peachy Keen blog if you LOVE cute stamps!!
You will be be blown backwards when you see the sneak peeks of the THE most amazing release yet from Kathy!! I PROMISE you!!

 Back soon!
