It's Christmas!!!

Well it is at CSAYL!
(Christmas Stamping All Year Long)

It's Christmas almost every week here and it's time for a new challenge!
You up for it?
We'd like you to make a Christmas card using Embossing Powder.

Easy peazy!

Our lovely sponsor this week is..........
http://www.disdigistamps.com/
Di's Digis is offering one lucky winner a $12 voucher for the store! Whoo Hoo!

Just in case you need some inspiration, here's my DT card to give you some ideas.
(Not that you clever people need it)!

Now how about THAT for a cute penguin!
She's one of my favourite penguin stamps from my amazing friend Kathy of Peachy Keen fame.
The stamp set is  PP-1443 'Faceless Penguins. Daft really 'coz there are two face stamps in the set
and four word stamps! I think it's all sold out though now. Aww
I used a sentiment from PK-1444 'Dear Santa and Penguin sentiments'. Because the stamps are so flexible, I was able to curve it around the base of the circle.
I stamped her onto a stitched circle (SSS), coloured the little lady with Copics and mounted it onto a stitched rectangle then the base card.
The Embossing consists of Frantage sprinkled over the penguin to mimic snow.

Please come and join in with us, we love admiring all your beautiful cards.
Pop on over to the CSAYL Blog for all the details and to see the amazing creations made by my fabulous DT buddies.

Have a wonderful weekend!!!

A new Challenge at In The Pink!

Hi Friends!
I hope all is well in your world. I do hope so.
Today, we are bringing you Challenge #63 at In The Pink and the theme is...
CUTE!
Now that should be doddle with all the fabulous cute stamps/images in your stash.

Here's my 'cute' card.
(It's that little duckling, he melts my heart).

The image from a Precious Moments free colouring page
that I have had in my files for years, but for some reason never used!
It must've known it was waiting for this challenge. LOL
I coloured the image with Copics and backed it onto oval dies as you can see.
I added the Tessatina Border cut twice and stuck side by side
to give the impression it's just one wide diecut.
The striped paper is from my Pink Petticoat files.
Flowers from my stash via Ebay.
The sentiment is from a Hero Arts boxed set of 6 little wooden stamps called
 'Friendly Greetings'.

Our fabulous sponsor for this challenge, is The Ribbon Girl,
who is giving away a £10 voucher to one lucky winner!
(That's approx $15 US)

I've got the blues!

Well I thought I'd give pink a rest for today.
(It'll be back on Thursday with a new challenge at In The Pink, so please come back).

I looked at a few paper pads and lit on a Papermania Capsule Collection pad 'Burleigh Blue'
It's hardly, if ever, seen the light of day!! I need treatment, honestly!

Here we go!
I've used a James image from the pre-coloured Artpad set #23, 'James & Jenny Bear'.
Isn't he just so CUTE!!
I wanted to keep it fairly low key and I think I managed it.
I's pretty self -explanatory from herein.

Love that Heart Banner die from La-La Land Crafts

Well, there you go. I'm all blue!
It made a nice change and I think I'll try and find something yellow soon 'coz it's nearly time for the daffodils to spring up.
Not that I've got any in my garden, but they'll be springing up hither and yon.

Bye for now my lovely followers (and casual callers).
Everyone is welcome.

Purr-fectly pink

Hi friends. I hope the day finds you well and in good spirits.

I've all of a sudden decided to use some of the pots of Frantage I rushed to buy moths ago and never used!! (I'm good at that)!!
Anyway,  I made a card a couple of days ago with Shabby white for the next CSAYL challenge, which, for obvious reasons, I can't show you yet, but it got me going if you like, so I made another card using Shabby Pink......

I actually think I went a bit overboard, what do you think?

Here's a photo without the flash.
 Not as gaudy now! LOL
(The colours are more natural too).

The image is a digi from Oak Pond Creations called 'Love Kitty'.
I coloured her with Copics as per usual.
The small roses are some from a really sweet lady called Brenda on Facebook, who has the most beautiful ribbons, flowers and findings etc. You must see what she has on offer HERE.
Be warned! You WILL be hooked! LOL

The large flower is from a big box I won, (on Facebook too).
I was overjoyed with the amount of flowers in the tall A4 box!! All beautiful, from Sweet Lilac Flowers HERE.
The little buds are off Ebay.
The dotty paper is from Echo Park's Bundle of Joy, 'Dots and Stripes'.
I made the little tag myself and hand wrote the little word (and it shows).
Not 100% happy with my writing, but hey ho, it's done now.
Well, that's it from me for now. Have a brilliant weekend.
(I think we're set for rain here but hey, we haven't seen rain for ages, so mustn't grumble).

Something completely different!

Hya Friends!
Today, I finally did something with a pattern I got of the Silhouette store.
I loved it in the store, but didn't love it so much after I cut it out!
I left it lounging on my desk for ages, but finally thought,
'either bin it or do summat with it Viv'!
So I took a wooden stamp by Stampin' Up!
(No idea what it's called,  one of my friends gave it to me),
coloured it with me trusty Copics after cutting out the middle part of the pattern.

I cut two of the blue patterns and scored one at approx. 2" down from the top, glued it to the top and back of the front one and that gave me a 'hinge' for the back of the 'card'.
As it's got a lot of scrolls on it, the only other embellishment I gave it was a blingy brad on a piece of ribbon.

It's 8"x8" I didn't check the size when I first cut it, I was too excited to try it out! LOL
I put a 'dew drop' on the large rose and one on the top bud using Crystal Lacquer.
You can't actually see the one on the big rose, but I promise it's there!
Well I've just received my latest stitched dies from Simon Says Stamp, so I'm off to play!
Thanks for visiting. You know I appreciate it.

It's CHRISTMAS!

No, I haven't gone daft.
It's a new year and a new set of challenges over at
(That's CSAYL for short).
I LOVE making Christmas cards but usually can't get me mojo in gear until about September,
(by which time, I'm playing catch-up)!
NO MORE!!! Thanks to Patricia and Valou for asking me to be part of the CSAYL DT, I get to make my fave cards all year, so no rush come Autumn. Yeah!
OK, to kick the new Year's challenges off we have a theme of 'Anything goes'.
http://christmasstampin.blogspot.co.uk/
Our fabulous sponsor for this challenge is BUGABOO STAMPS
http://www.bugaboostamps.com/
One lucky winner will bag 7 digis of their choice!
OK, here's a card I made with the Bugaboo image, 'Winter Birds Scarf'

Isn't he cute all wrapped up against the frosty air.
I coloured the image with Copics
The DP is from a pad I can't remember the name of. If you recognise it, please tell me. LOL
(I have a feeling it's from Papermania).
I cut the image out on my Cameo before colouring it. (Saves all that fussy cutting.)
Please pop on over to the CSAYL blog to see the gorgeous cards
my amazing DT buddies have created and get all the details of how to join in with our challenges.

Have a marvellous day and enjoy your weekend.

Mr& Mrs and a new challenge!

Hello friends!
It's time for a new challenge over at In The Pink.
The theme for this challenge is ....'Love is in the air'

For my card, I CASED THIS fabulous card I found via Pinterest.
(I'd be lost without that place)! LOL

I cut the aperture using the Marianne Design Passe-Partout Oval die set
It was a nightmare!! LOL
I re-jigged the die cuts daft amount of times because I only had one sheet of the paper with the hearts on and I wasn't about to waste it.
I kept getting the outer oval out of line.
There WAS a dark pink mat, but it was crooked so I had to trim it off. Duh!
Anyway, I got there in the end and I didn't ruin that paper!
The 'Mr & Mrs' stamp is by Mama Elephant.
The tulips, jewel and flower are from my stash and the little sentiment is from a little set of six wooden stamps by Hero Arts called 'Friendly Greetings', cut out with Spellbinders dies.
The striped paper inside and the heart paper on the front
are both from an 8x8"pad from Hot Off The Press called 'Wedding'.

Our wonderful sponsor this week is.......
http://www.liveandlovecrafts.com/
who is offering a wonderful prize of  £10 (roughly $15) Yeah!
(Click on the logo to take you there).

OK, that's enough from me, please bob on over to the
 In The Pink Challenge blog
to see the most amazing cards made by my VERY talented DT friends
and get all the details so you can join in with us.

Don't forget you can share your creations on our Facebook page too...

I look forward to seeing your entries and in the meantime, have a fabulous weekend!
