Just made it!!!

I just managed a final Christmas in July card before it ends in the Peachy Keen Store!
(Loads of discounts and offers if you're quick)!!!

Here's my card.....

I die cut my adorable Gingerbread Boy (PKK-02) out of Crumb Cake CS.
Then used the coordinating Gingerbread Boy stamp (PKS-14) to stamp the whole image and then again onto some DKWV Christmas paper for paper piecing his overalls, hat band and bow.
The white areas were coloured with a white gel pen. (Also from Peachy Keen).
The little holly motif in the corner was stamped and coloured with Copics, fussy cut and mounted onto the card with a glue dot the size of a small country!
The card was embossed with a huge Spellbinders M-Bossabilities folder EG-1002.
The triple bow was a pure fluke! I was experimenting with  my bow maker and accidentally created the bow and I have no idea how I did it! LOL
Well, I hope you enjoyed Christmas in July as much as I have
(although most of my July was taken up with having a new bathroom fitted and all the muck and mess THAT entailed)! SO worth it though!
Don't forget to come back tomorrow for sneaky peeks at the fabulous August release!!

A birthday and an anniversary

Hya!
I'm getting back to it! Yeah!
(Still got loads of dust, but hey! it ain't going anywhere for now)! LOL

I'm mega excited 'coz it's almost time for the new August release from Peachy Keen
and I keep saying this, but it's TRUE....
You WILL be bowled over by cuteness!!!
There will be sneak peeks leading up to the release on Thursday evening on the ning site,
The Peachy Keen Connection.
Where there will be the usual boisterous and fun challenges and prizes,
plus the fabulous and CUTE new stamps for you to ogle.

In the meantime, here are a couple of cards I had to do for two of my sons.
Barry, my eldest had a birthday on July 25th and I made this for him...

The Chicken Wire border, sentiment and the balloons stamps are all from Clearly Besotted..
The 'Son' was cut with MFT Die-Namics 'By the letters'.

I was debating whether to draw strings on the balloons,
but as my boy is 41, thought that might be a bit twee, so decided against it.

Now for my third son..
It's his and his wife Sara's anniversary on the 5th August and as usual, they will be in Spain on the day.
Actually, they are on their way to Heathrow as I type, so no danger of them seeing their card before the 5th!
They always put their cards in their suitcase to open on the day.

Enough waffling Viv!
Here's their card....

Memory Box Butterflies. Got this one 'coz it's gorgeous and 'coz it's called 'Vivienne'!
The sentiment is by JustRite called 'Large Fancy Sentiments'.
I CASED THIS gorgeous card by Michelle Short of  The Card Grotto.
Poor Michelle has developed pneumonia and has had to curtail her crafting for now!

Get well soon my friend!!!

It's my turn in the spotlight tomorrow on the Peachy Keen website,
where I'll have another Peachy card to share with you.
I'd love it if you were to pop on over and give me some love.

At last!!! Two challenges. VERY different.

Wow! It's been almost a month since I put anything on here!!
THIS is the reason, (in case I hadn't already bored you witless with it)!!!

Challenge One!!!
Living in muck and bullets while my bathroom was being converted into a shower room!

Here's the end result..

It took a month altogether and I'm STILL dusting the brick and plaster dust up!!
SO worth it though.

It means I can pick up my crafting again and my NEXT challenge is of course, a Peachy Keen one.
It's a photo inspiration challenge. I like those!
Here's the photo...

And here's what I came up with...
I used an older Peachy stamp PK-312 'Frozen Stiff Snowman',
in keeping with the Christmas In July theme that's been running at the Peachy Keen Store all month.
(Loads of offers and discounts going on)!
I coloured my smashing snowman with Copics and added some Nestabling on the greeting.

I'd LOVE for you to play along with the challenge.
Please pop on over to the Peachy Keen Challenge Blog
to see the fabulous projects my Peachy Sisters have created! They are SO talented.

Here's the rules...

Sunday 7 July 2013

Christmas in July is still happening!

Yep!
And I have two challenge cards to prove it! LOL

Here Y'are!
Challenge #1 'None traditional colours'!

I would say grey and black are non-traditional, wouldn't you!
My train and the message are from the brand new Christmas in July release PKSC-19
(There are at least 45 stamps in this set alone)! WOW!!!
I stamped my train with Memento black ink and coloured it in with Copics and added white pencil for the boiler and PK's Glistening Snow Writer.  for the 'smoke'.
The DP is from a 6x6 pad. Anita's 'Classic, Christmas Black'.
Not sure it's still available. I've had it for yonks.

Challenge #2 card The challenge is 'vacation'.
Well, there are plenty of poeple that take their holidays at the polar regions, so I used my initiative,
(What little I have), and made a summer holiday scene at the North Pole!
This card uses the adorably cute little boy and girl Gingerbreads from PK-1326
You get the frosting as a stamp too!
The beach ball and umbrella are from last month's release PKSC-18
The pole and sign are from new release PKSC-19
I 'drew' a line of Glistening Snow Writer along the top of the pole and the umbrella.
Then I 'pulled' it down to make it look like dripping snow.
The sun was made by punching a 1and1/2" circle and chopping a bit off the bottom.
I sponged it with Distress ink, Spiced Marmalade.
The 'snow' is made with a Cuttlebug (I think) swirl embossing folder.
I few dots on the umbrella for texture courtesy of my white gel pen finishes it off.

Please pop on over to the Peachy Keen Connection.
You will see the current challenges and all the inspiration you will ever need from our gallery.
Play along for your chance to win a $25 gift certificate.
Have a wonderful Sunday and if, like us here in the UK, you're enjoying high temperatures,
 remember your sun cream!

The bathroom is ready and waiting for the tiler to arrive tomorrow. More disruption,
but I'm sure it will all be wroth all the much and mess in the end.
Back soon!
