Precious Moments

Here we have a 'Precious Moments' stamp by Stampendous, that I absolutely LOVE
(and neglected shamefully)!

The image was coloured with Copics (of course).
The frame was cut with Spellbinder's Floral Oval Die.
The sentiment is a rub-on by K & Co.
I sponged the orange card with Colour Box Q 'Amber' and raised it on foam pads.
The white card base is linen.
The flowers are from my stash.

(Luckily it's been raining so I could abandon the garden to play instead)!

At long last!

I have had a bit of a haitus and didn't really enjoy not having the heart to pick up card and stuff!
I did enjoy making a (kind of) silk purse out the sow's ear that was our back garden though!
It's been hard work, but it's coming on and I plan on keeping on top of it.
Alan is disabled so it's down to me. I need to keep it simple, coz gardening is not top of my favourite activities.....crafting is!
Well, I decided that I was going to sit down and make something in the hopes that it would kick start my mojo.
Dunno if I'm quite there yet, but this card isn't a bad start I reckon.
I CASED THIS card by Amy of Prairie Paper and Ink. LOVE her videos!

Stuff....
Papermania Capsule collection papers 'Lincoln Linen'
Crate Paper, Sweet Branch rub on sentiment
Linen card base
Ribbon from stash
Prima flower from stash
Big fat pearl from a shop in the States.

Hopefully, there'll be more later when get back from visiting my youngest grandchildren.
Thank you so much for not abandoning me!

The same only different.
(The method that is).

I'm addicted to the Stamp and emboss sets from Sizzix/Hero arts.
My latest ones are Butterfly Friend, Flowers and Vines and Postage and Frame.
I made two quick cards to see how they look and although I didn't jazz 'em up, Im really happy with them.

You can see the embossing a little clearer in this photo

That's why they are the 'same only different'.
I've still to make a card with the Postage and Frame set.
(I will upload it as soon as I have).

Have a great day!

Here I am!

Well, actually I haven't been anywhere, but it's been a while since I put a card up. It's been quite a busy week with one thing and another. One of the highlights being watching my son in a strongman competition over the weekend!!
Here's a link to one of the videos I took with my camera.
(I'm quite impressed with that little Lumix)!

Paul in the 'Medley' heat

For some reason I can't get the vidoe to load on here. Shame.
How do you all do it?
I'm so proud of him. He's only been competing since January!

My best friend Pam and I managed to get two crafts in as well!
A dear friend of ours has started work at the Astbury Garden Centre and has THE best bosses in the world.
I consider them friends too.
Then of course, we had to go to Edgeley to see Glynis at CJ Cardcraft and spend a bob or two.
TWO amazing and friendly craft shops! within a 12 mile radius. We are spoilt!

I also made this card in the week and forgot to upload it! Duh!

Love pink and green and as I had to get using some of my mountains of papers, started with this one.
The DP is SU!
The butterly is made with two Memory box dies, Darla and Vivienne from Joanna Sheen.
(Had to get the VIVIENNE one, didn't I)! lol. Luckily, it's gorgeous!
Spellbinders Fancy Oval and Moroccan Accents dies along with that gorgeous ribbon,
 are all from CJ Cardcraft
That lovely flower is a die from My Creative Time.
I will be back later or tomorrow if I run aout of time yet again, with a card I made for Pam.
(I never uploaded it and I'm really annoyed, 'coz I can't remember where I put the instructions)! Doh!

Have a wonderful creative day!

A card for my Grandson

He's 22 today!
OMG!! Where HAVE those years gone!
He's a lovely young man and he's not afraid to hug his Nanna in public!
He's a star, so he's got one on his card to prove it!

Kraft CS base.
Paper is by Pink Petticoat.
The twine is threads pulled from a piece of hessian.(burlap)?
The stars are Nesties and the sentiments are from My Creative Time.
LOVE that white ink!! (Worth paying the postage from America)!
It's Hero Hues 'Snow', that I got from 'Simon says Stamp' via Ebay
and the best white ink out there IMHO!

Anyway, back to the plot...! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUKE!!!

Thanks for dropping by, it's always good to 'see' you!

It's HERE!!! The Peachy Keen Alumni Hop!!

THE BLOG HOP IS NOW CLOSED.
A winner will be announced later today.
(Thank you to everyone for making it such a huge success)!

Oh this is just wonderful!
Back with my dear friends at Peachy Keen for this fabulous Blog Hop!

Our theme is
 'That's what friends are for'.

Here's my project.......

This shadowbox is only my second ever and I LOVE making them!
This is going to be given to my beautiful Grand daughter Teigan.
The box itself is a cutting file I got from Lori Whitlock.
It was just what I wanted for my idea for the hop.

For my little 'alcoves', I used quite a few of the new stamps recently released by Peachy Keen.
  PKSC-04  April's stamp Club
 PK-65  'Garden Wheelies' ,
PK-564 'Team Work'
All the stamps were coloured with Copics.
Then I added two special photos taken when I was at the Peachy Mecca!!!
Here are the alcoves in close-up....

Happy days with wonderful friends!

Talking of friends!!! It's time to HOP!!
Here is you line-up of the ultra talented usual suspects! lol...
If you came to me via Heidi, you are heading in the right direction.
If you just happened along and want to be part of the best hop in town,
please start at the Peachy Keen Stamps blog.
(The first stop on the list).

Of course, no hop would be worth it's salt without PRIZES right!
We have prizes...with a twist!

Here's the gameplan...
Our very generous friends at Peachy Keen are offering three gift certificates as prizes for this hop.
Three of us along the hop will be giving away one $50, one $30, and one $20 gift certificate.
In order for you to be eligible to win, you will need to leave a comment on every blog
AND end the hop with a comment on the Peachy Keen Stamps Blog.
You need to comment on all the blogs for a chance to win,
'coz which of us contains the prizes is a SECRET!
You have 2 days, so no pressure.
Winners will be announced on Wednesday!

Your next blog along the way is the one and only Peachy Queen herself,

Happy Sunday!

It's happy 'coz I've made another card! Wow!
(My mojo has been very good and stayed at home where it belongs)!

I decided to be a bit adventurous and mix my Nesties up a bit.
The CS is Bazzil bling and is a little darker than in the photo. The sun was shining right on the card and made it look lighter. (Shows the 'bling effect' up quite nicely though).
The DP is from SU! and the huge pearls which I LOVE are some I bought while I was in America, so they are going to be used VERY sparingly.
The sentiment  is from the beautiful set, 'Gift Card Sentiments', by Emma, of My Creative Time.
I LOVE her fonts!
I sponged the red nestie shape with Hero Hues 'snow' ink to lighten it up a little.
The Nesties used are:
Labels 16
Fancy Tags
Fancy Tags 2
A bit of sponging on the tags and Voila!

Hope your Sunday is a happy one too!

I think it's back!!!...

....My mojo that is! .
Must be the tidy craft room that swung it! Ha Ha
Maybe if I promise to KEEP it tidy, Madam Mojo will stay where she belongs!

See what she helped me to make.......
Luvverly Kraft card stamped with the 'Swirls and Curls' wooden stamp from Stampabilities
and Hero arts Hero Hues 'SNOW' chalk ink that I managed to get from Simon Says Stamp.
The lace is off Ebay.
The frame is a Nestie. stamped with a coordinating frame from the 'Kindness set by Justrite.
The sentiment in the frame is by Waltzing Mouse Stamps set, 'Fancy Phrases'.
The sentiment at the bottom of the card is from the 'Floral Sentiments' set by Emma at 'My Creative Time'.
Isn't that font to die for!!!
I hope you like what my mojo has conjoured up for you today.
Back soon with more....I hope! lol

A thank you card and a reminder

Well, it's been that long since I posted, Blogger has gone through a transformation!!!
Can't say I like it to be honest. It looks cheap and nasty compared to how it used to be
and it's VERY confusing!!

Have you missed me?? I've missed you SO much.
It's been really full on here for the past few weeks.
Nothing earth shattering, but enough to stop me playing like I wanted to.
One of the things that needed doing urgently, was cleaning up my craft room!
It was starting to look like an explosion in a paper factory!!

It's all nice and tidy now and I managed to get enough mojo going to make this card.
It will be going in the post toot sweet.

The Frame is a Nestie and the design inside it is from a set by Justrite.
Isn't it gorgeous!
THe lovely sentiment is from the set 'Floral Sentiments' by Emma at My Creative Time.
I just LOVE this font and the size of the sentiments is perfect.
The fleur -de-lis border is made with a n EK Success border punch
(and the punchouts make those cute little accents in the corners).

Well, that's it from me for now.
Thank you for not giving up on me.

DON'T FORGET......
.....THE PEACHY KEEN ALUMNI BLOG HOP, Monday 7th May!!!
(Check the blinkie at the top right hand corner)!
I've made something WAY out of my comfort zone for this hop.
I'm SOO excited and can't WAIT to share it with you!
Off to see if my mojo was only here for a flying visit, or if it's finally come home.
