Peachy Keen Challenge #66 Before and after!

I'm so daft!!
I did my project for the challenge but forgot to add the oval  element DUH!
Here's your sketch, (which you'll pay a LOT more attention too than I did)! lol

That white shape is hard to miss right?
Well, NO! 'Coz I did!
Here's the evidence...

Now here's the panic addition....
I made a 'door' for my Gingerbread baker to stand in front of... PHEW!!
Saved by the door! Ha Ha
My fabulous little guy is PKS-14 and PKKO-02.
The die and stamp together make cutting out a thing of the past.
BRILLIANT!! They can both be found HERE!

Please bob on over to the Peachy Keen Challenge blog,
to play along, or just to get some inspiration from my amazing DT sisters.
(There's always a fab prize on offer too)!

You MUST check out our mega talented Guest Designer..

Christmas cards mostly now.

Yep, I've only got one more birthday between now and Christmas, (well, except for my own on the 11th),
so that doesn't count! lol

I made this last night while I couldn't sleep. Dunno why I can't sleep properly lately.
But at least, I've got my craft room for company when I can't!
I just LOVE these Gingerbreads.
This little lady is from PK-417 (There's a boy in the set too).
The bottom of the card is covered with glitter card that Kathy gave me, bless her.
The top half is covered with some fabulous dark red paper with gold dots that I bought at  CJ Crafts.
(My favourite craft shop).

Here are some more cards that I made.

I made a few of these.
There's a stamp and coordinating embossing folder. The results are amazing!
Some have glitter on, some are stamped with Brilliance ink, giving a lovely sheen to the ink.

This poinsettia was made with a Marianne die and DP from a pad by GCD Studios, Joyful Peace.
(I think I got that from CJ Crafts too)!

I did this one with just the embossing folder. I added some Glamour Dust on random elements.

 Likewise with this one...

There's that lovely paper again, being used as a backdrop.
(I couldn't get a decent picture using my usual two sheets of 12x12 card)!

So you see, I haven't been totally idle. I have done more,
but they are basically the same only different if you know what I mean?
 Back soon with more!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend my American buddies!!!
Have a great weekend wherever you are! xxx

Hubby's card and sale time at Peachy Keen!

If I had a brain I'd be dangerous!
I made this card for Alan and felt proper pleased with myself.
That is, 'till he opened it!...........I'd forgotten to write in it!!!Doh! Ha Ha!
Oh well, it's the thought that counts, isn't it?
Here's his card...
I love this boat stamp and don't use it nearly as much as I should.
It's from 'Art Impressions'. (As is the 'clouds').
I got it at a craft show along with lots of other little stamps that make up scenes.
Wanted to keep it simple though, so opted just for the boat and clouds.
The ticket is '98871 Happy Birthday Ticket'. It's an Inkadinkado clear stamp.
It has six cheeky greeting that fit into the space under Happy Birthday.
Can you see which one I used?
It says 'Senior discount'!Ha Ha! (Well, he IS 73 now).
The base card id Bazzil Bling and the Kraft card is embossed with a Sizzix tree bark folder.
(I was trying to get the impression it's a sandy beach with the tide out causing all those ripples you see).

OK! Now, Peachy Keen are having a fantastic
Thanksgiving Sale!
You need to get yourself over there and grab a bargain 'coz they will be snapped up mega fast!
Go HERE to grab some loot!

Happy hunting!!!

Alfie's Christening

What a great day it was too!
(Apart from the vicar nearly drowning Alfie)! Ha Ha!
Here he is...
No-one remembered to bring a camera except Alan and as I was up on the 'stage' I couldn't take any until after, when I got these.
How daft were we all!

Here's Alfie and Tegian, my grand-daughter holding hands while marching around the church.
It was SO funny when the vicar Baptized him. He got a handful of water and practically, threw it over him! He was soaking wet! He did it three times! We were all hysterical laughing.
Alfie just stayed in the vicar's arms smiling his head off.
He couldn't be less bothered! Ha Ha

The service was lovely. There were play packs for the little ones.
(Clever way by the Church, of making sure there weren't any disruptions)!
The weather was beautiful. A clear, not too cool, sunny day.
We went back to BJ& Claire's for a buffet and a chat.
All in all, a lovely day was had by all.
It was just a shame that Paul, my second son, was full of flu,
so as soon as the ceremony was over, went back home to bed.
Fell better soon Paul!
Here's the card I made for Alfie!
(Almost forgot to put it on)! lol

It's almost the same as the one I did for Teigan, but the Nestie die I used for the ribbon is plain,
whereas on Teigan's it was the curly one.
Right, off to get some more Christmas cards made.
Have a peaceful and pleasant day.

Here's a word or two about these little marvels.....

'These thin metal dies can be used in most of the leading die-cut machines such as Cuttlebug,
Big Shot, Wizard, Grand Calibur etc.

There are tons of different options available in this first release, for instance, the cute penguins with a matching igloo,
as well as our best-selling "Lauri" and "Skip" Elves - now available as dies, too!
Any of our existing designs have been scaled smaller, so card makers and tag makers can enjoy the whimsical world of  Peachy Keen Stamps as well!'
Each die comes packaged with one thin metal die, instructions on how to use your new die, as well as the coordinating stamp sets (sold separately) that coordinate with it.

My first card showcases the Girl scarecrow.
(They are such a pleasure to play with now I don't have to fiddle with a craft knife).
(The scalloped edge is the base at the front of the card).
You can't really tell 'coz it's leaning back.
I've given her glamour dust, lipstick and rouge, 'coz she's a party going scarecrow!
She's PKKO-05 Girl Scarecrow Die combined with the stamp, PKS-05 Girl Scarecrow.
She's coloured with Copics and paper pieced.
My second project is a center step card and includes the boy scarecrow.
(This card is supposed to be the barn dance after the harvest)!
My scarecrow girls and boy are all togged out for partying.

My final card uses the GORGEOUSLY Christmas Tree Stamp
PKS-12 Santa Tree. I'm waiting on my tree die PKKO-08
(I thought I'd show you this one, to illustrate how you can also use the stamps on their own).

Peachy Keen Challenge# 65

Hi everyone and thanks for joining me again today.
I've been very naughty by not posting anything since the last challenge.
I haven't had much time since coming back from The States.
There was so much home stuff to catch up on!
I HAVE been beavering away though and made quite a few Christmas cards which I'll put up later.
OK! On to today's challenge WITH A TWIST........
........USE PAPER PIECING!

Here are your guidelines.....

Create a card with the sketch & TWIST provided.
Peachy Keen Stamps are not required to participate, but we always love to see what you create with them if you have them already!

TWIST: Paper Piece your stamped image to give it a bit of dimension and flair!
Design must be new
Link up by 11/28 - 11:59 pm CDT
(5.59am 29/11 GMT)

Your Sketch....

My Card
The photo is awful, but the light now is rubbish, so this is the best I managed to get.

My adorable snowman is from the set..PK-321 Snowmen, Greetings and Globe.
You can't really tell on this picture, but the DP has been cut into lengths and adhered.
I love that word 'adhered', VERY posh! lol

The DP (and the band behind the Snowman), is from a beautiful DP pad called 'Joyful Peace'.
It's made by a company called GCD Studios.

I paper pieced my little man's waistcoat and hatband with some DP I've had for AGES.
(I coloured over it with a Copic marker to tone it down and match the other paper).
The 'Holly' was made with a Sizzix die and the 'berries' are little red gems.
We have a super guest designer joining us this week.
She's CATHY from Snip Tuck Designs.
Please give her some love. She has created some gorgeous projects for you and there's more to come!

So there you have it. Please visit the Peachy Keen SHOP for amazing discounts available today and of course... the Peachy Keen Blog where hopefully, you will join in with the challenge after getting loads of inspiration from the DT 's fabulous projects.
But above all...... HAVE FUN!

It's Peachy Keen Challenge #64 and I'm home!

Welcome to the PK Challenge #64!

THE CHALLENGE
Create a card with the sketch provided. Peachy Keen Stamps are not required to participate, but we always love to see what you create with them if you have them already!
Guidelines:
Design must be new
Link up by 11/14 - 11:59 pm CDT

When I saw this sketch, I immediately thought of a 50s style television set.

Here's what I came up with...

Here's a view showing the acetate 'glass' TV screen

And a view showing the sides of the 'TV'..

I borrowed the concertina sides off a fabulous card Kim made, HERE... for my cabinet
and stamped the card with the 'Woodgrain' background stamp from Market Street stamps
I used three brads for the knobs and a Nestie die was used to cut out the 'screen'.
I backed the 'screen' with acetate to replicate glass.

Doncha just LOVE those adorable Gingerbreads!!!

They were a delight to paper piece and colour, meaning you have an endless choice of costumes for them!
(I made that little wreath on the 'wall', with two circle punches and a MS branch punch).
Actually, all the materials for this project were gleaned from the Peachy Keen workshop.

If you hadn't already heard, I've just got home from spending TEN of THE most wonderful days in the company of the Peachy Queen herself, her delightful family and some of my wonderful PK Design Team friends, Lorie, Janice, Lisa and Kim. Amazing people!
Not forgetting the hilarious Lauri and the sweet Dobea, beavering away in the background.

Now, back to the challenge.
Please hop on over to the Peachy Keen Challenge blog for details of the prizes up for grabs for FOUR lucky winners and to see the fabulous creations my amazing DT Sisters have come up with for your inspiration.
Have a great week and happy crafting!
