A New ADU Challenge!

Hya friends.
I hope all is well in your world.
The weather is nice and pleasant here for a change.
As usual, we didn't get the predicted snow. Bummer!
Anyway, onto the challenge.

As the title says, this challenge theme is ...
'CAS'
(Clean And Simple)

I don't know about you, but I often struggle with CAS, so these challenges help drag me out of my comfort zone.
Well I've been well and truly dragged with THIS one! LOL

I have used Wendy's cute 'Tall Like You' digi.
It's available to purchase HERE, for a measly £1.50! Bargain!
No Copics were murdered in the making of this card.
The blue plain and spotted digital paper is by Pink Petticoat.
I doodled around the edge of the mat and I hand wrote the sentiment, 'coz I'm an idiot.
I forgot to stamp a sentiment before putting the blue layer on dimensionals! DOH!!!
It was nerve-wracking!  I was convinced I'd duff it up. lol
Very CAS and I will use this image again for new baby cards.

Onto the deets!
This challenge will run until the 15th of March.
Head on over to All Dressed up blog to check out the rest of the teams creations, and why not enter the challenge whilst you are there.

Remember! To enter our challenges, you need to use an All Dressed Up image, or paper.
There are free ones on the blog and the ones in the shop are REALLY reasonable for such quality images!

Lastly, don't forget our Facebook group.
To keep up to date with all the latest ADU news, chat and to share all your lovely creations.

Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Back soon with more projects!
Have a smashing weekend!
I am, 'coz I'm in Derby getting crafty with my pals!

Time to 'fess up!

Didn't know whether to go public with my news, but then I thought, 'why not', it may just help someone.

Noticed  that I haven't posted much lately? There's a good reason my lovely blogging friends.
Last Thursday, I underwent surgery for breast cancer.

When I got a recall letter from my latest mammogram, I wasn't too concerned as I had been recalled before, with nothing coming of it. That didn't happen this time. Funnily enough, I was half expecting it. Dunno why, just did.

Within two weeks I'd been seen by the surgeon and the Macmillam breast care nurses, told my options and waited for Thursday 25th March. I came home on Saturday and was strapped up and trussed up. (Still am for now). Alan, my hubby has looked after me brilliantly bless him.

This week wasn't the best I'd ever had, but it was nowhere near as bad as my imagination thought it was going to be. I have to sleep propped up on my back for now, but that's about the only inconvenience I have, apart from not being able to drive yet. (Even managed to take Harvey for a short walk with alan keeping guard in case it got too much. I was fine. I'm sore, but can put up with the painful 'bits'  for now. It will pass, so no need to dwell on it.

I'm lucky. I went for my mammograms. Please go when it's your turn. It's so much easier to deal with and the prognosis is really good.

So there you have it. The reason for my lack of posts. I haven't, obviously, been able to play for a while, but today I feel good and wanted to get into my craftroom and make a card. It's taken me nearly all day, but I did it. I saw this image over at the wonderful 'Whimsie Doodles' blog and had to buy her. The papers are from Pink Petticoat.

Some of you already know what's been happening and I have been overwhelmed with the wonderful kindness and support, cards flowers and gifts from my fabulous friends both home and abroad. You are second to none!

I shall leave it there now that I've explained. Don't want to depress everyone, do I! Ha Ha.
At least you know why I haven't been visiting lately too and if you want to talk, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Thanks for calling by

A new day, a new challenge...

A closer view of the skin tone

Ha Ha!! Late as usual!!
I did this, this morning, for the Copic Creations, challenge number 1.
All set to send me link then saw the end date. Doh!
LUCKILY fer me, challenge number 2 is about colouring /blending jeans. Phew!!
So I get to enter it anyway! LOL
I was that pleased with the skin tone, I've enlarged the image to show it off a bit more.
Did I do it OK? I know I'M pleased with it, doesn't make it a work of art that though, does it!
I know I need to work on black hair more though. Not too impressed with this one's hair.
Thanks for stopping by! Love to 'see' you. Please stop by again tomorrow, there'll be another Stamps and Smiles challenge for you to play with.
