Golden Wedding Anniversary

Well, I've decided after having nearly a week without rain, I won't be greedy.
SO, my good friends from across The Pond, I've decided I don't want your snow any more. LOL
I'm quite happy with the lack of rain! Not holding out too many hopes for sun, but dry is fine!
It's been a bit busy round here getting ready for the stairlift Alan needs to enable him to tackle the stairs now. We went to Carpet Right in Macclesfield and I chose a the new carpet.
(Wanted something good down before the stairlift went in). The guy in the shop suggested we wait another week, as there was going to be a March sale on and we'd probably save a few quid.
A FEW!!! We went back today and our carpet is going to be almost £500 cheaper!!!
(That's about $850ish)!!
Can't WAIT to get rid of the horrible carpet that's down!

OK, let's get on with posting my card! I've waffled enough. LOL

Look how different the gold looks depending on the light!

I think I used the flash on this one.
Quite pleased with how it turned out.
Nor done any embossing (with powders) for ages!
The background was done in two stages as the stamp wasn't big enough to cover the card all in one go.
The card is A5. (A4 folded in half).
The base card is ivory linen. Matted with Matt gold linen card.
The ribbon concealing the join in the stamped and embossed background is from my stash.
I embossed with Stampendous Detail Gold.
The rose and sentiment are from the gorgeous 'Blooming Marvellous' stamp set by Clearly Besotted Stamps.
The oval frames are from latest acquisition, Spellbinders 'Grand Decorative Ovals One'.
I got mine from CJ Cardcraft in Edgeley, Stockport.

I think I've covered everything
I'm going to enter this into a couple or three challenges..

Hope you enjoyed visitng me today.
(I certainly enjoy your visits).

Take care, back soon with more Peachy goodness!
