I'm a bag lady today

Only kiddin'.
I have quite a few Kraft bags and decided to decorate one that I was using to hold some pens for a friend.
Couldn't just hand them over in any old bag, could I!

Anyway, they love being decorated, don't they.
Well MINE did lol.
The front, decorated with Graphic 45 papers from the 'Communique' pack.

(Lots of sponged and distressed edges to give it an even more vintage look).

The back
The striped paper is the reverse of the pens paper.

That's it basically. Simple but effective I think.
Have a great day!

Peachy Keen Challenge #22

I'm VERY late entering this challenge...
but then, I'm usually last minute in most things!
No matter how hard I try to be organised, it just doesn't work for me somehow!
But I do seem to get a lot done when I'm under pressure.
Anyway, here's my last minute project, which just crawls in under the wire! lol

The challenge is to use this sketch .......

Here's my take on it.....
All the images are from PKSC-04 (There are millions of stamps on these sheets)!!!
I stamped the cupcake's face half on the icing and half on the base and extended the mouth so it looks open.
It looks more clown-like this way, which goes well with the party hat I think.

I didn't do much colouring, except for the rosy cheeks and the cupcake wrapper and some sponging.
Oh, and I put a little pink pearl on her/his nose.
The ric-rac, is from my stash.
I hope you like my fun card and I HOPE to back soon, (time alowing), with another project.
Until then, have a great day!

Very simple card

I had a lot of scraps on my desk from the previous card and true to form, just shuffled 'em about when I needed a bit of elbow room.
In doing so, A diecut ended sitting on top of a Kraft A6 card I'd made from an A4 sheet.
It looked really nice, white against kraft, so fiddled and jiggled and came up with this.....
So easy, it almost made itself!
The frame is a Spellbinders fancy frame
and the little bird in the cage is a stamp by 'CArt-Us'.
The sentiment 'sing' is taken from the 'Fleur-de-lis Labels 20' set.
That's all there is to it.
I'm entering a couple of challenges with this card.
(Not done that in a while)!

I will have to experiment with white ink etc, now that I see how pretty white is against kraft.
I hope the weather is not as nasty for you as the forecasters are predicting!
Stay safe!

I'm too late, but it doesn't matter

I had an idea ever since I saw what the criteria was for the second of the Peachy Keen challenges for the June release party at the Peachy Keen Connection.......
The only problem was, I didn't have time to complete it!
I have never been so busy! Who said retirement was relaxing!!!lol
Well, it may be late for the challenge, but I finished it anyway, so I will show you what nearly made it.

The challenge was to be 'anything that flies'.
Well, I took it literally and used my fabulous PKSC -04 for the time-piece and the sentiment.
The wings are from PK-279 'Faceless bugs'.
I hand wrote 'Time flies'. The background is PK-104 'What time is it??'
That stamp is a full A2 US size, and A6 UK size. BIG stamp!
I stamped it and sponged it with Brilliance ink, Pearlescent Sky Blue.
It has a lovely delicate shimmer which matches the colour of the wings and outside of the pocket watch.
They were coloured with Spica glittery gel pens.
Well, better late than never, don't they say. Yeah, 'course they do!
Have a lovely day tomorrow, whatever the weather!!!

Peachy Keen's June Release Challenge #1

Trust Peachy Keen to get my mojo working again!
The new release is incredible and to celebrate, there was a party at The Peachy Keen Connection.
There are also two challenges for you to play along with , for a chance to win some amazing Peachy Keen stamps!

I've created this card for challenge #1

 the challenge is this.....
Your project must have paper piecing, ribbon or twine, and some kind of sparkle or bling!
And of course, you must use a Peachy Keen stamp (or two), to qualify.
All the details are HERE on The PK Connection.

For my card, I used the fabulous PKSC-03 March set.
With the addition of PK-M16, 'You are my Sunshine'
I paper pieced the sun and the bling is on the mushroom's hat.
(I cut the 'body' of the mushroom out and pushed it further under her hat).
The twine is that thin line that depicts the horizon.
(I placed the knot behind the tree trunk).
The 'sky' is from a DP pad called 'Boofle' by Docrafts.
I stamped over the blue check paper with the Peachy Keen cloud background stamp.
The 'grass' is from the same pad.
My MS picket fence punch and the MS grass punch added some extra texture.
All the stamps were coloured with Copics.
Oh and the cloud is a MFT die.

Well, it's daft O'clock in the morning and I have to be up early for a blood test, so I'd better stir my stumps and try and get some sleep.

See you soon with challenge #2!
