Two cards for Peachy Keen's 50th challenge!!

It's Peachy Keen's "50th Golden" Challenge today and we want you to
create a card or layout based on the SKETCH & Twist provided.

TWIST: Must use Gold or Metallic accents in your project

We also have the mega talented KRISTAL from Getting Cricky as our guest designer this week.
She is UBER talented and you will love her creations!

  OK, here's the sketch......
Guidelines:
Design must be new
Project must incorporate elements from provided sketch  and contain a metallic accent
Link up before May3th.
Here's my take on the sketch.
I used the gorgeous bunny from PK-254 'Easter Egg Words And Bunnies'
It reminds me of the Lindt Chocolate bunny!
(Should've put a red ribbon round his neck and a little bell)! Ha Ha!
I used gold Mirri card cut with a Nestie for his frame.
The flowers were ready made and ivory coloured, so I sprayed 'em with Stick and Spray,
then dipped 'em in gold Glamour Dust.
Punched the leaves out in Mirri card using a Leone-Em punch.
The sentiment is from PK-263, Springtime Minis.
(It was the perfect size to fit on the gold ribbon).
The base card was embossed with a Sizzix embossing folder.
(I used the de-bossed side).

Now! I thought this card was MAYBE a little OTT, so decided to make another..........

 Isn't that dragonfly THE cutest!!!!!
She's from the new release, and is from PK-279 Faceless Bugs.

Here's a photo taken when the light was a bit better and from a different angle.....

The colours are truer on the first picture, but you can't see the glimmer on the DP or the gold embossing on Madam Dragonfly in the first one.
To get the wings how I wanted them, I stamped them out in vellum, then cut them in half up the middle.
I glued two tiny tabs to the cut parts, then put a slit in the abdomen of the dragonfly and inserted the tabs.
That way my wings could be further apart and look as if they are beating.

Two totally different takes on the challenge! I enjoyed making these SO much.
Please hop on over to the Peachy Keen Challenge blog for all the deets and to play along for a chance at the fabulous Giveaway,,,,,,,

TWO lucky random winners will receive a $25 Gift Certificate to the Peachy Keen Stamps Store to celebrate our 50th challenge!!

Please also give some love to my fantastic DT Sistahs. They work so hard to bring you fantastic projects.
Wishing you Good luck and a Happy Easter!!!

Wow, you treated us to two beautiful cards. It's funny how lighting can make a card look so different and they are pretty at that. You rock the cardmaking world Viv. Keep them coming.
