What a frantic couple of days it's been!! The blog hop was a last minute decision. It's very late in the making, so please allow us a little slack if there's a bit of a glitch here and there. (It will be here if anywhere, I'm good at glitches)! LOL
If you didn't visit Peachy Keen first, I can reveal the most precious stamp set in the whole wide world here..................
Isn't it just FABULOUS!
I was delighted at the new set just because it's SO cute, but when I saw the name, I just cried!
Then I cried again when I found out that it was for all the stuff I'd had going on over the past 6 months.
(If you don't know, I lost my mum on 9th December. Her funeral was 21st December. We didn't bother with much of a Christmas. Spent January sorting mum's estate out. Had my mammogram in February. Was recalled and told I had breast cancer. Admitted to hospital on 25th March. Lump removed and had re-constructive surgery to both breasts. Am at present attending Christie hospital in Manchester daily, for radiotherapy. It's been a gruesome 6 months and Kathy has wiped all the bad from those months with this act of total friendship. I couldn't feel more honoured, or valued if I'd won an Oscar!!! I actually couldn't feel any better if I HAD!!!

I LOVE all three of your cards and couldn't pick just one. When I saw the first, I said "Oh ya, that is beautiful and will my fav" Then I scrolled down to the second and said the same thing. Same with the third!
Wow, rough year so far. Hope the rest of the year will be better! I love all three cards but I think #1 is my favorite. The little puppy is just too cute!!!

What a Cute stamp set! what a awesome gift to you :). mu Grandmother also had breast cancer and is now in remission. It was a long hard journey for her but she made it though. Her friends and family kept her strong with all the support. It seems you have that here, w/ your friends @PKS and also BLOG friends. I will keep you in my prayers for a healthy outcome and that this journey is easier on your body and your spirit.

All 3 cards are wonderful but I have to agree with Kathy. My favorite is you with your little Harvey. The way you colored "your" face is perfect. It glows, like you, with love and happiness. Even though it is the same image on all three cards, your face and smile outshine the other 2, just like your real, sweet face shines, through all the struggles you have been through. If I do have to choose I would choose the 3rd card is my favourite because I just took out this very 2010 cosmo cricket garden variety bloomers pattern paper and was trying to make a card with it. I simply have to order this set of stamps, it is soooo cute!

Hey Viv! I definitely liked #2 the best. As I read your blog entry and was reminded of your struggles the last six months I could not help but think of my Grandpa who is presently dying of terminal cancer. Then I saw the little girl pulling the wagon with her dolly and had a overwhelming feeling of just wanting to go back and be a little girl again and be able to feel all the carefree feelings of that time all over again. My precious baby is just about to turn two and I love to watch her with her doll babies! I pray the Lord's blessing over you. I pray for continued healing for you and for strength for you and all in your family who share this struggle at your side. May peace overwhelm you as the Lord picks you up and carries you through all you must endure.

The little blondie in No 1 stole my heart right away... reminds me of a pic of me when I was little that my mom has framed in her bedroom :) that's my vote!

I would have to say #2, I never liked pink growing up as a child, my mom made me wear it, then I had 4 girls No boys. well, everything was pink for a long time, I must say the pinks have gotten better over the years.

So sorry to hear of all your sadness. Our scrapping community really does take you to another world and help replace the sadness with happiness. My son was just diagnosed with cancer for the second time last week. He had it once when he was 17 now he is 22. I didn't realize the significance of this stamp and now I know I would use them and everytime I would think of you and your great amount of strength and send a prayer for happiness and health for you. I love the card number two. I am a total sucker for scallops and red!! Thanks so much for sharing your story. I hope it has lifted some weight off you!

Viv, I know I'm too late for the drawing and that is fine. I was on holiday and away from the computer. But I just had to comment on this. I was ECSTATIC when I saw this set and wondered if it was named in honor of you! I'm SO glad that it was. All three cards are priceless and it would be hard to choose a favorite.
