A pirate and a baby girl!

Hya friends.
I hope you are all well and enjoying some decent weather as we are for a change.
(I know some of my American and Canadian friends are still getting SNOW)!
Shock horror!
Well, here in Blighty, we have blue skies and warm sunshine!
What a novelty! LOL

Hmm I digress.
I HAVE been busy, but three, no FOUR of my projects have to be kept under wraps for now.
Not long though and I'll be able to share them with you.

I CAN share a couple of flip cards I've made though.
One was done with my Silhouette Cameo and one was done with a Sizzix Flip -it die set.
I must admit, I'm not a fan of the Sizzix one.
The cut -out (bit that flips) is very small. Too small to do much with IMHO.
I prefer the circle one, it's much better.

 Front
I coloured my cute pirate with Copics and a Sharpie pen.
The paper is digital by Silver Daisies Studios.
(It seems to have been discontinued)
middle
The flip- it card, the wheel and the anchor are Silhouette files.
 Back
I'm a tad  very annoyed, 'coz Kathy Jakopovich of Peachy Keen fame, gave me a Sizzix circle set when I visited last year.
CAN I FIND IT??? NO!!!
I've hunted high and low and destroyed my craft room in an attempt to unearth it.
NADA! Hmmpphh, I WILL find it one day.

My next card is made with All Dressed Up digital paper ...
 Front
 This is the Sizzix one.
The frame die is too small in my opinion.
Middle
I hand cut (not completely successfully) a border to try and make the die cut a bit larger.

The paper are beautiful and available here.
Guess how much for FIVE gorgeous papers......75 pence!!!!
That's as cheap as chips and that's for all 5 papers!!!

Well that's it from me for now!
I hope you enjoyed your visit and hope you'll drop by again really soon.

Zoom - Zoom!

Wow! I've been MIA for ages, did anyone realise? LOL
My mojo went for a walk and forgot to come back!

It paid me a quick visit yesterday though and I came up with this....
This smashing digi image, from All dressed Up's Wendy Burns, is called '321 Go'.
Cute or WHAT!
I coloured him with Copics and looked on Google for a (free) checkered background.
Cut the image with a Spellbinder's Nestie circle
(The biggest from the standard set) and cut two slightly larger ones on my Silhouette Cameo.
Sponged the first circle with some Brilliance Sky Blue and matted the black card with coordinating red and white CS.

Not rocket science, but it got me started again.
There's a challenge on over at All Dressed Up just now and it's 'A Guy Thing'.
Don't let the title scare you. Look at my card, easy peazy!
Plus, you don't HAVE to do a 'man' card, just use 'man' colours on any All Dressed Up image.
There are quite a few freebies for you to use so let's see what you can achieve with the challenge.
It IS a challenge but that's what makes us tick isn't it!

I'm off to see my new grandson this afternoon.
He's 5 days old now and gorgeous!

He weighed in at 9lb 3oz!!!! Phew!!!

Here's a couple of pics on the day he came home...

Have a fabulous weekend my friends!

Baby boy

Hello friends. Happy Easter.
I hope you're still having a wonderful weekend.
Can't get over the fact that we're having some lovely weather! It's not like us here in the UK to see so much sun, especially in April! LOL

For my inspiration post today, I have stolen the Easter Bunny to make a new baby easel card.

Isn't that bunny's face just SO sweet!

This wonderful image is available in Wendy's Etsy shop HERE.
I have a new grandson due on the 11th May and this card will be to welcome him into the world.
I think a bit of bling is acceptable on a new baby boy card, don't you?
The ribbon is from my stash and threaded with coordinating grosgrain ribbon.
The papers are from a Papermania Capsule collection, 'Burleigh Blue'.
I got the VERY sparkly ribbon sliders off  Ebay. Some can be quite dull and plastic-y?
These are much nicer. SO glittery and a lot heavier.

Here are all the latest images...

The current theme is 'Spring' and can be either colours, or flowers.
We'd love to have you play along.

Easter treats for the grands

FINALLY managed to finish my projects that have been interrupted umpteen times today by him indoors! *sigh*.
I even threatened to make him move out for a week so I can get on without being mithered to death every 5 minutes.
Shouldn't grumble really, I'd give anything to be mithered , if he REALLY wasn't here.

OK!! Here we have it! At last!!

I got the template for the treat bag from the Silhouette store.
The tag was coloured and cut with the Cameo.
(I backed the aperture with acetate 'coz we don't want the little choccy eggs rolling all over the floor, do we)!
My adorable little chicks are from Peachy Keen stamp sets PK-1374 and PK-1375
Coloured with Copics and added a bit of 'grass' from a MS punch.
I stamped and coloured my chicks, then scanned 'em.
This enabled me to make 6 of them. 3 of each type.
I then printed and cut them with, you guessed it, my Cameo.
Result!

Hope you like my little treat bag. I'm sure the grand kids will!

Thanks for stopping by, it's always a pleasure to 'see' you!

Bon Voyage!

Hi friends.
I went with my best bud Pam to say farewell to a Derby friend who is leaving for America on Thursday.
She's lived over here for about 12 years and due to a mix up with her visa she now has to leave.
Here's hoping she can come back to visit, if not to stay. (I know she would love to stay).

I made this CAS card for her and hope it will show her we're thinking of her on her new journey.

The plane and the banner are a stamp and coordinating die set from Clearly Besotted called

The clouds are made with an 8"x8" embossing folder,
(the name of which escapes as per usual).
I inked the plane with Memento Danube Blue.

There you have it. A sad day, but I know she will do fine.
She has a job to go to and she can buy a house, so All will be well.

BON VOYAGE BRENDA!! xxx

A new challenge for April at All dressed Up!

Hi friends!
Did you have a good weekend? I did!
Firstly the Happy Stampers Craft Show at Port Sunlight on Saturday,
then seeing all my lads and families on Mother's Day yesterday. Bonus!!
Told 'em all I only wanted flowers, and flowers I got!
They are everywhere so I can see them in almost every room.

OK, are you ready for another challenge at All Dressed Up?
Of  COURSE you are!

Our theme for this challenge is *MONOCHROME*

Here is my card

I have used the gorgeously cute 'Fairy Magic'.
She's available in Wendy's Etsy shop HERE.
I haven't done a lot of monochrome cards, so this challenge is good as it gets my out of my comfort zone to try new things.
I coloured her with Copics. I was in a quandary about her hair
being this minty colour, but then thought,
'Hey! She's a fairy, so she can have minty coloured hair if she wants to'!
Phew! Got outa THAT one in one piece! LOL
The gorgeous CS is some I got from Papertrey Ink a couple or more years ago.
(Before USPS went daft with Shipping prices)!
The sentiment is from SU's 'Perfectly Penned' set.
I added Glamour Dust to her wings, 'coz what's a fairy without glittery wings eh!
The card is 8"x8". I made the scalloped circle on my Cameo 'coz I didn't have a die that size.
I also made the shape on the striped card using the Cameo. LOVE that machine to BITS!
That's about it folks.

Here's the deets! (There aren't many)

The challenge will run until the 15th of April.
You must use an ADU image or paper to play along.
(There are freebies on the blog, so don't worry).

Head on over to the All Dressed Up Blog to check out the rest of the team's creations, they are A-Mazing!
Why not enter the challenge whilst you are there.
We'd LOVE you to play along with us, honestly.

Don't forget to stop by our Facebook Group to keep up to date with all the latest All Dressed Up news, and chat to fellow crafters.

Well that's it from me for now. Have a super duper week and happy crafting!
