A 'Charming' Tree!

All SU stuff used on this except for the Rub on 'tree' word and the charm.
Glamour Dusted the tree. (Can't see it too well, looks sparklier 'in the flesh'.
Used the Tim Holtz pad thingy again for around the tree, just to soften it a bit. :0)
Thanks for stopping by. Viv xx

Anniversary card

I made this especially for Pam & Dan's anniversary.

I saw the technique used on Jennifer's blog.

Followed a link she put, and saw THIS card from Julee Tilman,

owner and illustrator of Verve Stamps.
This is one brilliantly talented lady and the cards on her blog are awesome!!!

I 'borrowed' her Layout. I do hope she doesn't mind.

Anyway, back to my card.........
Core-dinations CS, embellishments and ribbon from my stash.
I used a Tim Holtz pad thingy to ink the edges of all the CS.
(Must get a pack of re-fills 'coz I love it).
I was dying to use this and Pam & Dan's anniversary
was the perfect choice for my first try at this technique!!!

I got an award

Aww..... Els online gave me this gorgeous award.....

How lovely of her to choose my blog! It's really made my day Els, thank you!

I'm supposed to pass this on to six other blogs that inspire me.

I can't do that. It has to go to ALL of you who take the time and trouble

to post a little comment on one of my cards.

THAT'S what inspires me, feeds my desire to improve and grow.

You ALL deserve it!

I love this image. 'Rose's Garden' from Sarah Kay given to me along with loads of others,
by my great friend Valli. Thank you Valli!
I coloured her with Marvey Le Plumes while I was on holiday in Caernarfon.
I used my border punches a lot on this! Can't you tell! LOL
SU scallop punch, Nestability rectangle, and my fabulous Martha Stewart Doily lace punch.
Used 'Whale of a Punch photo corner punch. (Ebay US).
Want the proper SU one!! :0(
Distressed the edges with a Heidi Swapp edge distresser. The flowers are part of blog candy I got from Gina. Thank you Gina! CS from my stash and the DPs are Basic Grey..I think!... 'coz

Sue's blog candy challenge.

Hi everyone.
It's last minute Minnie as usual, but here's my card
for Suzanne's blogaversary candy challenge over on Slumber cards.
The idea is brilliant.

To quote Sue......
'Make a pink card and send it to someone who could do with a little tender loving care. It would be lovely if it was someone who's life has been touched by this terrible disease, but it can be anyone who could do with a kind word and a beautiful card to cheer them up.. I am sure we all know someone'. I do and this card is on it's way to her. ;0)

The challenge is open until the end of the month, so get making those gorgeous cards, tell Suzanne and link to her blog.

Happy Crafting! Viv xx

Two for Christmas

I'd forgotten to post these two Christmas cards
I made in between Mum and other stuff.

This one is a mixture of Papermania Christmas papers and SU DP.
SU ribbon and the Reindeer has been embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder to resemble snow. The flowers are Prima Christmas Bauble flowers.
(I've used the image on the PM papers to supply the greeting on both cards).

The image on this one is a Penny Black Sticker.
I saw the stickers on a roll at Happy Stampers in Derby a few weeks ago.
They are gorgeous and so good for a quick card.
The brads are Papermania and the CS is SU with a Versamarked holly stamp all over it.

WOW!! 10,000 hits!

I'm surprised and delighted to see I have reached 10k hits.
Well we know what THAT calls for don't we!

BLOG CANDY!!!......and here it is!

A small thank you to all of you who visit me and my little blog. You've all made me feel special and I thank you for your words of encouragement and the fellowship I've found.

To be in with a chance, all you need to do is leave me a comment, (with a link if poss.),
pass the word around and put a link on your blog.
I will keep this going until next Wednesday, when I will pick a winner via random.org.
(I will post worldwide).

Good luck and thanks again for your support!!

Anniversary card.

Couldn't post this until my dear friend Sandra had received it.

As you can see, it's a Forever Friends stamp. They are SO cute!
I coloured the image with Prismas and Sansador. The DP is from my stash, adhered onto pink CS.
Nesties for the oval frame and my gorgeous Doiley Lace punch was used on the two strips of Bazzil CS.
Dovecraft brown spotted ribbon and a stamped message to finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by. Viv xx

Thanks Michelle for organising it, I really enjoyed it.

(I forgot to photograph it first, so snaffled this piccie from Jo's blog).
Hope you were pleased Jo!

It's in black and White!

I love my new 'Winter Birds' set and went with a black and white theme, as it seemed to suit the image.
(I'm going to do one with dark blue next time, as I reckon that will look nice too).
The only pattern is the Martha Stewart Doily lace punched edge.
I sponged grey ink around the Nestability inner oval and embossed the image with sparkling black embossing powder.
It doesn't show up well on here, but it's really sparkly in the flesh.

Thanks for stopping by. Viv xx

Keeping myself occupied!

Harvey is at the vet's right now having his 'bit's removed!!!
Awww bless.
Can't settle really 'till we get the call to pick him up.
Was ordered to make a Christmas card by one of my lovely friends, so I have . It helped to take my mind off Harvey too. I used matt gold CS as I wanted the background to be white.
The stamped images are from the brand new set I've just got from Simon Says Stamp. It's 'Winter Birds' from Inkadinkado. The flowers are from Prima and the brads are from Paper Mania and the sentiment is by Stampendous. I cut round the images and attached them with silicone glue to get a good shape.

Thanks for dropping by! ;0)

Home from the holiday!

Hya Peeps!
Well we're back from windy Wales. Came back a day early as Alan was on his bike and the weather forecast said it would be rain and gales today, so we left yesterday and it was glorious! Typical! No sign of the winds and rain either. The 'Luxury' bungalow was a bit of a stretch of the imagination, but it was OK on the whole. My only gripe was the lack of decent bedding. Harvey loved the beach, as the slideshow will demonstrate.
(Had to do it in two stages, 'coz I can't get a slideshow to load with comments). Doh!
I did a lot of stamping and colouring, but got bored with it after a while. I didn't take any papers or card to make the images up into cards. I won't be leaving them behind next time. LOL I've enjoyed the break and watching Harvey run free, but I'm also happy to be home. Off to see what I've been missing on my favourite blogs now! :0)
