A Royal Wedding Blog Hop!!

We are delighted to bring you a one-off blog hop in honour of William and Kate's wedding.
This is the brain-child of our dear friend Heidi, (DT Sistah at Peachy Keen).
This is the task she set us......

(Considering I live 'over here', I actually struggled to come up with something)!
I didn't want to go down the red/white/blue route, so had to put my thinking cap on.
Here's what I finally came up with....

William and Kate, a Word Book.

It's my first word book and I had no idea really how to decorate it, so kept it simple(ish).
It's a bit rough round the edges, but I've let myself off as it's my first, (and probably my last)! LOL

Stuff:

Wedding cake is a stamped image I had in a drawer!
(Think it's a Magnolia image, but can't be sure).

Stamped images coloured with Copics

Flowers. pearls and metal corners are all from my stash.

    I LOVE your book!! My fav page is 4. It shows the love for eachother through the tight embrace. I am a believer in body language doing alot of the talking. I think this is also the case with this picture. The filigree you added.. GREAT touch!!

    Your book is fantastic, but I am having a really hard time choosing. I really, really like pages 3, 4 and 5. Page 3 because it depicts Princess Diana as well as William and Catherine. Page 4 because it is simply adorable and depicts a fairy tale "Happily Ever After" and this is what I wish for them both. And, Page 5 -- I love this picture, even if it is posed, of the two of them, they look so happy!

    My final choice -- Page 4.

    I like the page with the white horse, because we all know that Prince Charming always comes dashing in on a white horse to rescue his fair maiden. LOVE your tribute book! Thanks for sharing!

    What a BEAUTIFUL Word Book!!!
    I just love the neutral colors thoughout the whole album. My favorite page is a toss up between the front cover beacause of the wedding cake and the letters or page 2. I love the groom and how you colored him!

    Viv it is impossible for me to choose a favorite page. The entire book is gorgeous! The wedding carriage is such a perfect image! Your shading is so well done and the gold filigree and the yellow roses add the best finishing touches!

    Oh my goodness! If you heard a BIG thud, don't worry! That's only my jaw hitting the floor!! Girl, there is NO way this can be your first word book!!!!! This is absolutely gorgeous, and there's no way I could pick a favorite page. I've studied them, and I find something to love about each and every page! I sure wish I was "over there" so that I could enjoy the excitement of all this royal goodness, AND get in some crafty time with my Viv!! I love ya, my friend!! Beautiful work!!!

    Oh,I think your Book is Beautiful!!! My favorite page is Page5. That is a great picture of them. I loved watching the wedding this morning. I remember so long ago seeing Baby Prince William for the first time. Watched him grow up along with my children. So happy that he found someone to share his life with. I'm sure his Mom is smiling.

    I love your project and I'm sure Prince William and Princess Kate will love it if they saw it. Awwww so cute. I'm not sure if i can decide on 3 and 5 but I'll tell you 3 because it portrays the beginning of a Princess love story- his mother Princes Diana and I didn't see it in '81 because I was born in '83 but I do remember watching as a little girl when this wedding replayed on some Spanish tv show. To me this page reflects his love for his mother and his new princess wife :)

    What a neat idea. I love the page that has the couple's large photo and seal, they just look so happy and in love. Of course the page that has the bride, groom and a white horse on it is a close second because we all need a knight in shining armour on a white horse! =D

    Your word book is beautiful - it shouldn't be your last! I'm torn between pages 4 and 5 as my favorite. Page 4 because of the symbolism of including Diana, and page 5 because I love the adorable stamped image of a bride and groom in the carriage and how you colored it. TFS!

    Your wordbook is just bautiful. Simple but elegant at the same time. Love page one with the yellow roses. And ther stamped colored images of the bride and groom are sooo cute.
