No snow!

Hya friends!
Thanks for all your lovely and welcome comments.
They mean such a lot. I'm trying desperately to return the favour.

I've made another Christmas card with The Purple Onion stamp 'Snowy Trees',
but only inked the first tree on the stamp this time.
I could spit, 'coz Hubby interrupted me just as I was about to colour the tree and I coloured it ALL with my Copic marker. I wanted to only colour under the branches so I could make it a snowy tree, but he distracted me!! ARGHH!
So now it's just sitting there, waiting for the snow to arrive.
I used a Leone Em branch punch and Xmas Red Stickles to kind of represent holly.
I can see a lot of Purple Onion Christmas cards in my near future, so watch this space!
Thanks for visiting!

A card and a tutorial..of sorts!

Hya friends!
I was bullied 'persuaded' by my teamies on the All dressed Up DT, to do a tutorial on the sky I did for the Purple Onion card I did a few days ago.
(you can see it HERE).
I've never done a tutorial in my entire life and it will show in this tute! LOL
It's all photos 'coz I haven't got a tripod set up for my camera yet!
I hope you aren't in a rush!
My technique is a combination of numerous Youtube vids (Especially THIS one) and blog posts.
Thank you people!

Here goes!!

Snowy Trees

Hi friends!
I've just received some stamps I ordered from Purple Onion Designs.
They are SO cute and whimsical I couldn't resist.
I married two artists to get my card.
The Purple Onion stamp 'Snowy Trees', mixed with Birgit's style of construction.
I'm a tad pleased with this card.
I made a mask of the trees and sponged Tim Holts', Broken China, Faded Jeans, Weathered Wood and Black Soot. I accentuated the baseline with a Copic fine point pen.
The trees are coloured with Copics and the 'snow' is Glamour Dust.

Thanks for dropping by today and thanks for all your much appreciated comments.

Happy Anniversary

Hi everyone.
Glad to 'see' you here today.
Had a lovely afternoon with some friends yesterday. Even Alan was chatty!
(He's quite an introvert so it's an occasion when he sits and talks)! LOL
Anyway, two of the friends had a wedding anniversary so of course I made them a card.
I'm good at MAKING cards for friends, not so good at remembering to POST 'em!
It was perfect! They were visiting anyway, so no need to forget to post their card.
Ha Ha!

Here is said card.....

I die cut two hearts from a Nellie Snellen die.
Stamped a background pattern on 'em from a beautiful huge stamp by Impression Obsession called 'swirl Background'.
I then sponged the hearts with Tim Holtz's  'Aged Mahogany' ink pad.
Embossed a white panel and mounted said panel on a red mat, which in turn was mounted on a 6x6 scalloped card.
Added the sentiment from a Stampendous wooden stamp which had been stuck onto the wood slightly not straight, so I messed up two cards trying to get the stupid thing on straight.
Thank you Stamp-a-ma-Jig!
Three four! little gems were all that were needed to finish it off.

I'm happy to report they loved it!

See you soon! Thanks for visiting. xxx

An apple a day...

Hi friends!
Hope your weekend is buzzin'.
The weather has changed here. It's beautifully cloudy and grey.
Yeah I know, I'm a spoilsport.
Can't abide the heat especially at night.
Having Lymphoma means I get night sweat anyway, so humid heat makes it worse.

But I look forward to comfortable night tonight! Yeah!!

OK!, here's a card I made after seeing one on Pinterest.

The apples are part die cut and then stamped fully if you see what I mean.
(The top one is a bit skew-whiff)
The apple stamps and die are from Clearly Besotted.
The sentiment is 'Chalk Board Greetings' by MFT stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black
Linen card on card and a little bit of ribbon and Voilà!

Here's a video of the card I 'cased'....

A blue birthday!

This may be the last card you see from me for a while...
I have Alfie and Teigan coming for a sleepover this afternoon and I could be traumatised by tomorrow!!! Ha Ha!

When my friends came over for a crafty Day on Sunday, one of them had brought some Stampin' Up stamps with her.
I fell in love with the fabulous cards she made with the 'Work Of Art' stamp set and promptly stamped dozens of images out in all different colours.
I used a blue one to make this card.
I used a Tim Holtz ink pad, 'Broken China' or it could be 'Faded Jeans',
stamped off twice. ( I stamped so many, can't really remember which colour is which)! LOL
The little flowers are from a poinsettia floral punch.
There's a punch and a coordinating embosser that you put the punched out flower into.
The sentiment is by 'Create with TLC'.
I FINALLY got round to using some Frantage!!

So there you have it.
Happy birthday Sandra, hope you had a lovely day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LORIE!!

Today is the 50th (sorry Lorie) birthday of one of my most treasured American friends.

Kathy Jakapovich (my VERY bestest American friend), of Peachy Keen fame,
came up with the idea of all her friends in blogland, and on Facebook making a card for her and posting them on a 'Lorie's 50th Birthday ' Facebook page and on our blogs.
This is so Lorie can hop on over to all the blogs that have made her  a card and see the love.
(A lot of us have also sent the physical card to her).

I love this lady and it was no hardship at all for me to make a special card for her 50th. I posted it 6 days ago, so hopefully, it gets there today. Fingers crossed!!

I used the fabulously versatile set 'PKSC-12'. to make this box card.
I coloured the elements with Copics and stamped a '50' onto the label of the champagne bottle.
The images come with SVG files so there's no need to fussy cut!
(A boon for left-handers that haven't got a decent pair of sharp pointed scissors).

Well my dear friend, I hope your special day is as lovely as you are!!

Back soon!
