Kraft and white again

I'm loving Kraft and white at the moment, so it will come as no surprise to see another card using this combo. lol
I made this for my son's birthday.
He's 41, a bloke, doesn't REALLY appreciate the work that goes into a card, so didn't need to go overboard.
He does perversely insist on 'one of mine' though!

Anyway, now he's got it, I can share it with you...

The pennants use papers from 'The Everyday Kraft Pack' by The Paper Studio.
These are the 6"x6" papers that I 'borrowed' from my best bud.
She's just come back from the States with it.
(I have the 12"x12" pack that I got when I was over there last year).
The greeting is a Woodware stamp. LOVE that stamp!

There you have it, very simple, but quite effective I think.
Needless to say, I was a tad disappointed when I gave it to him and he was totally underwhelmed!

Thanks for you welcome visit, see you soon!

Feel better soon

I have a couple of close friends who are going through the mill at the moment,
so a card to cheer them (hopefully) a little is the order of the day I reckon.

I was VERY fortunate to win a beautiful Memory Box frame die from the extremely gifted
You just HAVE to go and see the fabulous cards this lady makes.
I love everything she does, so leaving a comment was happening prize or no prize!
Here are my first two cards using that beautiful frame....
My little fairy and the greeting are from PK-121 Fairy Mini Set
Isn't she just the cutest!
I decided to colour the little leaves on the frame as my fairy looks as if she would be comfortable in a woodland setting, (and the vines reminded me of woodland too).
The base card is Kraft. LOVE Kraft card.

Here's a close-up of that delightful little Peachy Keen fairy.

She is, as usual, coloured with Copics.

My next card,

The base card for this one, is from a box of cards I bought YONKS ago.
They are graduated in colour and look really nice.
Dunno why I don't use them more!
For this card, I used my  new Die-namics Umbrella die and stamp set,
from Sunrise Crafts a couple of days ago.
(I was lucky there, 'coz they've sold out now)!
The patterned paper on the 'brolly' is from Papermania Capsule Collection pad.
I added a bit of Glamour Dust here and there too.
Well, I hope you enjoyed your visit today.
I know I always enjoy your company.
Have a lovely afternoon/ morning/ evening wherever you are.

A patriotic birthday

I LOVE these Papermania papers.
Shabby chic comes to GB! Ha Ha!

I'm getting all excited for the Olympics now
and thought I'd make a card to celebrate the occasion as well as a birthday.
Must admit, thast rosette looks a bit as if it belongs in the Southern States of America to me.
Does it look a bit confederate to you too, or is it just me?
I used paper from two different Papermania pads.
The background papers with the bunting and the dark blue band with the crowns on, are from Forever Friends'  'The best of British'.
The rosette, airmail envie and the sentiment tag are from the Papermania set
'Portabello Road'.

16 days to go until the Olympics!!
(Hope it stops flippin' raining before then)!

It's CHRISTMAS......

....only Kiddin'!
I've made a card for the latest Peachy Keen Friday challenge #25
'Chalk it up'
(I decided to make it a Christmas card' so I could enter it into a couple of other challenges too).

I did use chalk, honest.
(It's the sponging on the snowy white linen card, inside the greeting diecut and my cute elf's cheeks).
I made the card in the shape of a tag. (Bet you noticed that too eh)! lol
Supplies
 Bazzil CS
Spellbinders label die (for the greeting)
Spellbinders circle die for the hole
Brads
White gel pen
Copics
Here's the inside
I utilised some Christmas paper I got at craft show years ago. (I have no idea who's make it is).
The sentiment is also from PKS-15 There are TONS of greetings in that set!
Here are the other challenges I'm entering this card into....

Stampin’ For The Weekend
DRS Designs

Well, hopefully, that's got me started on my Christmas cards now.
I'm ALWAYS at the last minute panicking to get them all done two days before the last post!
Every year I say, 'I'm going to start early next year' and never do.
I'm hopeless! lol
Enjoy your weekend!

Peachy Keen Challenge #24

Well, thanks to the jet stream causing us to get the world's rainfall, I can play in my craftroom longer.
I do feel SO sorry for all those in the USA who are suffering with the heat! I much prefer this unusual rain pattern to overpowering heat. I hope it gets back to normal VERY soon my  American friends!

On a brighter note, here's the latest challenge from Peachy Keen.
It's a colour inspiration one ....
